"You too, be ready; for the Son of Man is coming at an hour that you do not expect.” Peter said, “Lord, are You addressing this parable to us, or to everyone else as well?” And the Lord said, “Who then is the faithful and sensible steward, whom his master will put in charge of his servants, to give them their rations at the proper time? Blessed is that slave whom his master finds so doing when he comes. Truly I say to you that he will put him in charge of all his possessions. But if that slave says in his heart, ‘My master will be a long time in coming,’ and begins to beat the slaves, both men and women, and to eat and drink and get drunk; the master of that slave will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he does not know, and will cut him in pieces, and assign him a place with the unbelievers. And that slave who knew his master’s will and did not get ready or act in accord with his will, will receive many lashes, but the one who did not know it, and committed deeds worthy of a flogging, will receive but few. From everyone who has been given much, much will be required; and to whom they entrusted much, of him they will ask all the more." Luke 12:40-48.
Jesus said plainly...to be ready because we know not when He will return. At the end of every single chapter of the book of 1st Thessalonians Paul addresses in some way the return of Jesus Christ. Even in their day they were expectant. Paul's addressing it was to assure them that in spite of rumors or false statements made, they hadn't missed it.
Our world is not getting better at the hands of supposed intelligent people nor at all with the rise of artificial intelligence. If anything the world is dumbing down. People are graduating high schools with essentially a 3rd or 4th grade level of understanding of the world. It's being celebrated in colleges and universities the whole idea of how to use AI to cheat your way through.
People are being groomed to listen and obey a very probably near to be revealed world leader.
My Dear Reader are you sure of your salvation in Christ Jesus alone for the forgiveness of your sins? That single question is the most important for you to set the record straight in your life. Without it, the Hell on Earth that's to come after Jesus does return to bring home to Heaven the last of His Church, will be for you.
People are fixated with video's on what amounts to a slow-motion train wreck. They already know the outcome but won't take their eyes off of the scene.
As mentioned in earlier posts, nobody's going to be able to see the return of Jesus Christ coming. No indicators at all. Biblically speaking nothing prevents that from happening right now other than the fact that His Church isn't complete.
Once that happens then Jesus will return. That day or hour nobody knows. You or I can't know when a person comes to Christ for salvation.
What are you indulging in your life that isn't honoring your relationship with Jesus? If you are saved...would He find you engaging in something you would be ashamed or embarrassed to be caught in by Him?
Those who may be reading this who aren't saved yet...what's keeping you from accepting that free gift of salvation? Don't give your present or your past a second thought as to a reason why you have been saying no to Jesus. He will make all things new. He washes away all our sins because of what He finished on the cross He died on.
We have so many reminders happening these days to all people that the return of Jesus is imminent. Personally in my extremely varied Bible and devotional reading, it's been astonishingly powerful to see dozens of references all to that same point. All written at different times in history yet all aligning to that point.
Are you ready? Jesus commanded us to be ready...are you being obedient to Him in doing so?
Nobody's going to be free of Christianity after He comes. Although the rising world leader will elude to that. In the Scriptures we read that the coming days after Jesus returns billions of people will die. If the prophecies of the Bible as yet have all proven unalterable so shall these of the days, months and years ahead for those left behind after Jesus returns.
Today's the day to be sure of your salvation. Today's the day to be the obedient Believer that we're called to be. Today's the day of salvation to all who believe.
Hollywood will never create any imagery to describe or to cover the horrors of the wrath of God that's going to come after Jesus Christ returns and the Great Tribulation begins.
Jesus said that many Believers will stand ashamed before Him because while yet saved, they never lived it. They will look upon Him who died in their place and have zero gratitude to show for all that He did for them.
Countless trillions of people will one day stand at the Final Judgment of Jesus Christ and lay claims of doing great things for Him to try to save themselves. Without salvation in Christ, they all will be cast into the lake of fire, having been told to depart from Him for He never knew them.
That day is one day closer.
Should it not be today then tomorrow will be one day closer.
That day of the Lord WILL come, just as He promised.
Will you be ashamed or ready?
