My Dear Reader, do you remember that day when Jesus came and took away your sin?
Do you remember the grace, that unmerited favor, He bestowed upon you?
Do you remember to bestow that upon others?
There's the 'ouch' for most of us.
Remembering to show grace to others for the same reasons we needed it, just as Jesus said "forgive them for they know not what they do".
We, as Children of God, are supposed to be putting this ahead of all other considerations in dealing with others in this world.
Grace and mercy were bestowed upon us, by God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
"But I deserve..." you might begin to say. No. Don't go there. You've likely read the Scriptures. You know what you deserved, but through the grace and mercy of God you didn't receive nor will you receive what you deserve.
It matters not what it is in this world. Judgment belongs to God.
We're to put on Christ. Daily.
As Paul wrote, so what if we're wronged. So what! Isn't the life of the person who wronged us more important than whatever our issues are?
The treasures we have in Christ are people. These are the treasures we store up in Heaven where moth and rust do not destroy.
We can easily damage our testimony in ways that it may not recover by leading with our mouth and not our hearts in Christ.
You may burn bridges that you'll later need by forgetting your place in Christ.
We don't want to ever say as David did of how he USED to lead people into the house of the Lord. We don't want to be of a mind that we used to remember the unmerited favor of God towards us when we deal with others.
Open shame and guilt are ours if we neglect to remember such grace towards us!
We are to be Christ's Ambassadors no matter what our circumstances.
Let our next hymn be:

Show all who cross your path the grace that is greater than all our sin today.
You either allow the light of Jesus Christ to shine or you'll put it under a basket. You choose. There's no in-between.
