You wonder?

You wonder what in the world is going on.

You see rapid changes happening to this world.  You see the media lit up from all kinds of angles.  You hear of reports of political turmoil.  You hear of atrocities both overseas and here in your country.

Where is God in all this?
Why doesn't He say or do something?
Why?
Why?
Why?
Why, indeed...

As with all things to do with God you have to begin your quest with God. You cannot go to self-help books to question God. You cannot find Him through any book by any Preacher of God.  He says to you, "Behold I stand at the door and knock..."

You see, your quest begins with your heart.

"But God, why is there..."
"But God, what about..."

God knows everything. He knows every thought you have had and ever will have.  He knows every thought you have forgotten.  Knows every intention behind everything you have ever done.  But why would He do all that and not say something to you?  Perhaps He did, but you weren't listening.

Your how questions, your why questions quite possibly are valid.  But the real question is have you let Jesus into your heart?  In spite of what you see and hear in this world, does your attention belong to Him?  How often is it recorded in the Gospels that Jesus took His Disciples away from the crowd.  Essentially means away from the world's eyes and influences.

We want justification for our thoughts and actions.  We want validation for our thoughts and actions.  We want to know we were right.  We look for approval.
May sound like a description of a child.  But it also applies to adults.

God isn't far away.  He's as close as your next thought.  Our world doesn't want God around.  Yet many people will, in their most desperate need and hour, cry out to Him.  Why does it take so long to get that close to Jesus?  Because, up until that moment, their worldly life means more to them than He does.  But when it's all stripped away, when all they have to hang onto, is their very breath of life, everything changes.  To live means more to them.

Dear reader...don't let it get that far.
Please.  Jesus loved you enough to accept the death penalty that was on you.
Yes, by being born in sin, you have a death penalty against you.  It says in Romans that the wages of sin is death.  We are all born with a sin nature.  There's no medical cure for it.  You can't medicate morals into a person.  You can't live as a hermit and not sin. You can't have all the wealth of the world and not sin.  One single sin is enough for the death penalty.  Scripture also says that for all have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God.  You can't do it on your own.  Do what?  You can't possibly be good enough on your own to save yourself.  It required a perfect sacrifice to pay that price.  The only perfect sacrifice for sin that is acceptable to God was for His one and only Son to die in your place.  Which He did two thousand years ago.  All the sins you have ever done or will do were heaped upon Him on that cross.  It was so intense, so vile and disgusting, that His own Father couldn't look at Him. For the only time in history God the Father couldn't look at His own Son.  Thank God it doesn't end there.

You see, three days later, Jesus arose from the dead.  He defeated death, sin, and the grave.  In Him, is the hope of Salvation.  My reader, all that you must do is ask and it's yours!  You face a death penalty for your sin...and to be freed from it all you must do is ask!

Will it change your life? Will it change this out of control world around you? Yes and yes!   You may think you have been living this life, but after coming to Christ you will truly begin to live.  Up til coming to Christ you have been in darkness.  In Christ is the light of life.  You will have new thoughts.  You will find new things to make you happy.  You will see and understand things you never dreamed of or thought possible.

But what about...? Truth is...those things that worry you so might still be there. Then again, God might use you to change them.  He might not.  But with Christ in us we can face them.  Knowing that for the first time ever we are no longer alone. The Ruler of the Universe, God of all creation, Savior of our Soul, is with us.

Read the real book that will truly change your life.  The Bible.  It's been changing lives for thousands of years.

As I read recently, if it wasn't so important or impactful, if it was a book of fairy tales, if it was anything but the living word of God, why is it banned in over 50 countries?

There has to be something about it that will change your life if that many countries don't want you to read it.

Will you still have questions? Yes!  I ask God questions all the time.  But, as He is my Savior, I can ask without fear.  Jesus has shown me a great many things.  Many that could only have come from God.

Will you lose friends? Maybe. But sharing what Jesus has done for you is what He's asked you to do.  They may get it they may not.  It's just up to us to share.

Without Christ you have no one to cast your cares onto. In Christ, He tells us to cast our cares upon Him.  His shoulders can take it.

Another cool thing is nothing can get to us in life unless He approves.  You see, what you may not be aware of is that Hod has an enemy.  His name is Satan and although he is powerful, he is still a created being and must always submit to God's rules.  He isn't all powerful.  But he can influence your thinking.  In Christ you have the power to fight back.  Without Christ you are on your own. Satan is evil personified.  He is a liar and the father of lies.  There's much said of him in the Bible.  But, if you read the Bible you will see that in the end, he loses.

What you see going on in the world is preparation.  Not global warming. Not uprisings.  Not anything but preparation for the return of Christ and what you will read in the book of Revelation.

Choose today my dear reader.  Choose Jesus today.  Only Jesus can save you.  Only He died for you.  Only in Christ can you find hope in the midst of hopelessness.
