ALL in All

ALL in All
by David Brenneman

"You are my strength when I am weak
You are the treasure that I seek
You are my all in all
Seeking You as a precious jewel
Lord, to give up I'd be a fool
You are my all in all
Taking my sin, my cross, my shame
Rising up again I bless Your name
You are my all in all
When I fall down You pick me up
When I am dry You fill my cup
You are my all in all
Jesus, Lamb of God
Worthy is Your name
Jesus, Lamb of God
Worthy is Your name
You are my strength when I am weak
You are the treasure that I seek
You are my all in all
Seeking You as a precious jewel
Lord, to give up I'd be a fool
You are my all in all
Taking my sin, my cross, my shame
Rising up again I bless Your name
You are my all in all
When I fall down You pick me up
When I get dry You fill my cup
You are my all in all
Jesus, Lamb of God
Worthy is Your name
Jesus, Lamb of God
Worthy is Your name"

All in All by Dennis Jernigan

When reading the verse of the day from the Bible app, this song came to mind.

"And He said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the great and foremost commandment. The second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’" Matthew 22:37-39 NASB

How much is your all?

Is it really your all?

Is it your best, your full 100%?

If you're divided between the world and serving Christ then for certain you aren't giving your 100%.

If you're taking what you want of the Bible and disregarding the rest, you aren't giving your 100%.

If you're listening more to people's depictions of the Scriptures and are not reading it for yourself then my friends you are not giving your 100%.

If you've allowed heresy into your life then those things will entangle you and you will not give 100%. A heresy is a false teaching.  Something not true about God, Jesus or the Bible.  There's a lot of that going around these days from people from the pulpit to the music that's aired to videos.  Satan's twisting the minds of people to think, as the Bible says, to think they are giving service to God.

Was reading of a recent interview with a very very popular Christian artist. The interview shows how far they have slipped from God's Word in their life.  To condone living in sin as ok, to refer to God as a she as being ok.  There's no way such a person is giving their 100% to God.

In Christ Jesus is where we are. Preaching the word, in season and out of season, is what is to be done 100% of the time. "All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that athe man of God may be adequate, bequipped for every good work." 2 Timothy 3:16-17 NASB.

There's nothing that we ought to be doing that isn't reflecting a 100% commitment to our Savior, Jesus Christ.

When compromise enters in at all the 100% is not possible.  Not until we let go of what's taking God's place.

What does the Bible also say?

1 Corinthians 6:20 NASB "For you have been bought for a price: therefore glorify God in your body."

We owe our all in all to Jesus.

We also read this: "Do not give what is holy to dogs, and do not throw your pearls before swine, or they will trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces." Matthew 7:6 NASB.  Most read that to talk about discussing the Bible. It's also about our lives. We read in another place "but like the Holy One who called you, be holy yourselves also in all your behavior; because it is written: “You shall be holy, for I am holy.”"  1 Peter 1:15-16  NASB.

Do you think about the holiness that's supposed to be coming from you?

Do you think about how honestly disgusting it is to take what belongs to God and placing it with the things of this world?

I think now of another song.

"You have longed for sweet peace,

And for faith to increase,
And have earnestly, fervently prayed.
But you cannot have rest,
Or be perfectly blest,
Until all on the altar is laid.

Refrain:
Is your all on the altar of sacrifice laid?
Your heart does the Spirit control?
You can only be blest,
And have peace and sweet rest,
As you yield Him your body and soul.

Would you walk with the Lord
In the light of His Word,
And have peace and contentment alway?
You must do His sweet will
To be free from all ill–
On the altar your all you must lay. [Refrain]

Oh, we never can know
What the Lord will bestow
Of the blessings for which we have prayed,
Till our body and soul
He doth fully control,
And our all on the altar is laid. [Refrain]

Who can tell all the love
He will send from above,
And how happy our hearts will be made,
Of the fellowship sweet
We shall share at His feet
When our all on the altar is laid! [Refrain]"

"Is Your All on the Altar" E.A. Hoffman

Temptations aren't just a group from a few decades ago. Temptations are distractions.

They are intended by Satan to get you to not put your all on the altar.

They are intended to shipwreck the faith of people who claim to be Christians

That artist I referred to is an extremely popular Christian artist. The person's words carry a lot of weight with probably millions of people. All being led astray.

What you do for God is supposed to be in such a way that people see your good works and glorify your Father who is in Heaven. 100 percent of the time. Your All.

Take a look at your life, your ambitions, your goals, your all. Where is it going? Is it going towards God for all the right reasons? Is it your All? Is it your best?

Things to think about for today, for tomorrow.
