Not Deciding is Still Rejection

Not Deciding is Still Rejection
by David Brenneman

"For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him." John 3:17 NASB

"Have you been to Jesus for the cleansing power?

Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?
Are you fully trusting in His grace this hour?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?

Chorus:
Are you washed in the blood,
In the soul cleansing blood of the Lamb?
Are your garments spotless?
Are they white as snow?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?

Are you walking daily by the Savior's side?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?
Do you rest each moment in the Crucified?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?

When the Bridegroom cometh will your robes be white?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?
Will your soul be ready for the mansions bright,
And be washed in the blood of the Lamb?

Lay aside the garments that are stained with sin,
And be washed in the blood of the Lamb;
There's a fountain flowing for the soul unclean,
O be washed in the blood of the Lamb!

E.A. Hoffman 1878 "Are You Washed in the Blood"

Many in the world today think that not choosing to come to Christ to be saved isn't them deciding against doing so.  That they want to "live" life before doing that kind of thing.

To think such a thing is to take one horrible gamble. To take an impossible to determine risk.

My Dear Reader you don't even know if God will allow you to finish reading this post let alone live out the next few hours of your life.

You do not know what's ahead for you in life.

It's arrogant presumption to think that you know when your time of leaving this world will be.

I have shared the shocking story before of a former co-worker who's husband simply stood up to refill his coffee and fell dead to the floor.  There was no warning no indication that anything was about to happen.  There one second, gone the next, stepping into eternity.

What you decide concerning giving your life to Christ or not determines your eternity.

Coming to Christ begins your life transformation into what God originally designed for you to be.  It's also you having a part in His plan to reach others so that they too do not have to face the wrath of God.

You? Facing God's wrath? There is wrath in rejecting salvation when you die. Jesus gave a taste of what Hell is like.  Nobody there is living it up.  Nobody there wants to be there. Yet everyone there knows we why they are there.

And it's not even the final judgment.

Hell isn't the true end...at least not yet.

History needs to complete whatever God has in mind for it because there are people yet to be born in the time that remains who also will face the question of receiving the free gift of salvation or rejecting it.

There's a portion of history where in a 7 year period God's wrath will be poured out on this Earth.

There's a thousand year period where Jesus Himself will rule this world...with no interference from Satan.

The Bible says that every person will be without excuse when standing before Jesus at the Final judgment.  Every excuse possible will be accounted for.  There will be none who will be able to ask: well what about...?

My Dear Reader time to choose before Jesus returns is diminishing quickly.

There is no time like the present to settle the question of where you will spend eternity.  Regardless of how you view life, no amount of good deeds will ever equate to what Jesus had to endure to provide salvation that is free to all who would receive it.  No amount of good deeds are ever possible when the person is infected with sin from birth.  Only a life transformed by coming to Christ to be saved can ever be washed as white as snow.  If you did nothing but good things from birth you would still be as red as blood and never be as white as snow before Jesus.

Please don't let another moment go by.

The next thoughts you COULD have if you aren't saved in Christ Jesus will be "Oh God NO!!" when you arrive in Hell.

Hell has trillions of "good" people.

It's the requirement of full purity in God's holiness that required a perfect sacrifice in what Jesus did to provide salvation.  A single sin is a completely tarnished soul.

You cannot view that judgment before Jesus as Him maybe weighing your good works and your bad deeds.  The Judgment of everyone in Mankind ends with "is this person's name in My book of Life?"

"But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart”—that is, the word of faith which we are preaching, that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes in Him will not be put to shame.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call on Him; for “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Romans 10:8-13 NASB

Hoping, wishing, thinking, that you might be good enough is the lie of Satan of all time.

Good thoughts are a waste of energy.

Good intentions are a waste of energy.

Hoping that God would change His mind is futility.

Do you realize what you would be asking God to do in considering your good vs your bad in your life?  You would be asking Him to not count all that Jesus endured to provide salvation as being enough.  You would be asking Him to elevate the quality of the life you lived as being better than the perfect life Jesus lived and died for.

Please don't let today, please don't let the next few moments go by without serious consideration of where you will spend eternity.  Is the world around you, what you think that you want in life more important than where you will spend eternity?
