"But an apostate is well acquainted with the gospel. He or she knows more than enough to be saved and, yes, has even professed to follow Christ. But at some point they turn their backs on the Savior. Their commitment wasn't real, and their decision wasn't authentic. Those who are Christians in pretense are non-Christians in reality, and sooner or later reality wins." Dr. David Jeremiah "Where Do We Go From Here?"
That particular quote from his book really resonates with me again this morning.
The attacks of Satan are primarily on the identity of people these days. Seems to go unnoticed by most that the "preferred pronouns" list is identical to how demons described themselves in the Gospels.
Is it any wonder? In the New Testament we read of how false teachers came from within the Church, not outside of it.
We read of people like Demas who began strong in the Lord who deserted Paul having loved this world.
Looking at this world through Spiritual glasses gives you a wholly different worldview. Remembering "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist on the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm. Stand firm therefore, having belted your waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having strapped on your feet the preparation of the gospel of peace; in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. With every prayer and request, pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be alert with all perseverance and every request for all the saints, and pray in my behalf, that speech may be given to me in the opening of my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in proclaiming it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak." Ephesians 6:12-20 NASB
My thoughts are heavy when it comes to the battles of the days ahead. However, as it is written, my trust is in the Lord. While it escapes the notice of this world, the world is preparing for the arrival of Jesus Christ. While the people are being deceived, lied to in every single corner of the world about everything from the right to life, to gender, to finance, to how to live, Jesus is preparing for His return.
Where people ought to sit up and take notice is that demonic activities are rising and to add to this truth, they aren't even bothering to hide anything anymore. They are not hiding their actions within the Church or in the world. People are just so used to it that many have outright accepted it as normal. The Church is trying to figure out how to coexist with the world rather than following the command of Christ Jesus which was to transform the world. Church leadership in many denominations are trying worldly business tactics to gain members.
My Dear Reader it is so much more important now than ever to be sure of your salvation in Christ Jesus alone!
It's interesting to see the rise in amateur created versions of being left behind after the Rapture of the Church.
The great deception is laying a foundation in this world to explain it all away. It will certainly be debunked within 24 hours of it happening. People will globally be lied to and most WILL believe it.
"But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart”—that is, the word of faith which we are preaching, that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes in Him will not be put to shame.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call on Him; for “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Romans 10:8-13 NASB
Please, please, please take time to sit down and talk to Jesus about this. He is coming soon and He explicitly said to be alert. Be ready for you do not know what hour He will return.
He wondered if He would find the faith when He came back. Would you be described by Him as having the faith?
Would you be living a life in such a way that people would point to you and claim with all conviction that that person is a Christ follower?
Today could be the day. Tomorrow could be. The day after. We know not when.
“Now I say to you, everyone who confesses Me before people, the Son of Man will also confess him before the angels of God; but the one who denies Me before people will be denied before the angels of God. And everyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but the one who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him. Now when they bring you before the synagogues and the officials and the authorities, do not worry about how or what you are to speak in your defense, or what you are to say; for the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you ought to say.” Luke 12:8-12 NASB
And
"Be prepared, and keep your lamps lit. You are also to be like people who are waiting for their master when he returns from the wedding feast, so that they may immediately open the door for him when he comes and knocks. Blessed are those slaves whom the master will find on the alert when he comes; truly I say to you, that he will prepare himself to serve, and have them recline at the table, and he will come up and serve them. Whether he comes in the second watch, or even in the third, and finds them so, blessed are those slaves. But be sure of this, that if the head of the house had known at what hour the thief was coming, he would not have allowed his house to be broken into. You too, be ready; because the Son of Man is coming at an hour that you do not think He will.” Luke 12:35-40 NASB.
My Dear Reader, if you find yourself easily able to walk away from Jesus, then indeed your salvation is in jeopardy. Heaven will not be your home. The particular quote that began this post aligns with you.
Jesus came to save you! Jesus loved you enough to sacrifice His life for you! To take the full wrath of God the Father upon Himself to satisfy the penalty for your sins. So that your bill would be marked "paid in full".
In 2012 it became legal to propagandize the people of the United States. Most don't know this because it was hidden in another bill. All other countries already were doing this. Which means with all certainty that you cannot trust what you're being told through news outlets. The last bricks of the grand deception are in place and have been for some time.
There are no other things that need to happen before Jesus returns.
Just as in human history, the thief on the cross was the first to see salvation, there is indeed a last person before Jesus returns. Maybe it will be you my Friend.
Maybe it will be your life coming to Christ that is the one He was waiting for. Salvation is free. It is the gift of God to all who would believe.
