Preparations have been Made

Preparations have been Made
by David Brenneman

"Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us,  to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen." Ephesians 3:20-21.

Do you ever stop to think about the truth that there's no aspect of your life that the Lord Jesus Christ hasn't been prepared for?   There's no experience you will have that He ever was surprised, stunned, shocked, flabbergasted that it happened in the way it did?

Have you ever considered the little things that are His continued provision throughout the dark times of life that you ended up needing later on in your life?

Do you ever consider the depths that the Spirit has taken in His great care for you in order to bring you farther along in your sanctification?

Our successes aren't really our own.  It is the Spirit of God that works within the plan of God for you and I.

Every human being in history has always been many steps behind God.  If we don't understand it yet we certainly should be starting to get it by now that if indeed Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever...He is never caught off guard.

We certainly can be, but my Dear Reader, Jesus never is.

Perhaps it's one of the greatest things that annoys Satan the most.  He never ever can know what tomorrow truly brings.  He can never know what the future holds outside of the established Word of God.  Proof of this is the truth of human history.  He constantly has to be grooming an Antichrist because he knows not when the Father established the day of Christ's return for His Church.

Before you were born...preparations were being made for your arrival.

‬‬"For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart." ‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭29:11‭-‬13‬.

"Lord, You have searched me and known me.  You know when I sit down and when I get up; You understand my thought from far away. You scrutinize my path and my lying down, And are acquainted with all my ways. Even before there is a word on my tongue, Behold, Lord, You know it all.
  You have encircled me behind and in front. And placed Your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me;
It is too high, I cannot comprehend it. Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? If I ascend to heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, You are there. If I take up the wings of the dawn, If I dwell in the remotest part of the sea, Even there Your hand will lead me, And Your right hand will take hold of me. If I say, “Surely the darkness will overwhelm me, And the light around me will be night, Even darkness is not dark to You, And the night is as bright as the day. Darkness and light are alike to You. For You created my innermost parts;
You wove me in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to You, because I am awesomely and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works, And my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from You When I was made in secret, And skillfully formed in the depths of the earth;  Your eyes have seen my formless substance; And in Your book were written All the days that were ordained for me, When as yet there was not one of them. How precious also are Your thoughts for me, God! How vast is the sum of them! Were I to count them, they would outnumber the sand. When I awake, I am still with You." Psalms 139:1-18.

Read that passage again...

Out days are indeed numbered...do we realize just what God has prepared for us?

"Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own? For you have been bought for a price: therefore glorify God in your body." 1 Corinthians 6:19-20.

Our best plans cannot be greater than whatever Jesus has in store for us.  His plans will always incorporate honor to His Father, who is our Father in Christ Jesus.

We can't out do God.  Our best interests are in keeping pace with Jesus.  Never ahead of nor lagging behind Him.

Maybe it's dreams of life or its not...but the real plans of God for you and I are going to be far greater than all that we could ask or think.

Even the smallest of things we do, which in our eyes don't amount to much, could indeed be something of great significance in His plans for us and others in the journey of their own sanctification.

We are His workmanship created in Christ Jesus for good works that we might walk in them. For good works greatly implies that He's more than prepared for us to engage in those works.

When you step into today...be about the Father’s business. Whether it's doing laundry, helping someone, doing your job, going to school.  You have a life prepared beforehand for you to walk in accordance to His plan and purpose for your life.

We're told in Colossians to do whatever we have to do as unto the Lord Jesus Christ.  We are taught through Paul that he who knows the right thing to do and does not do it, sins.

Go into today with the mindset of doing your best for the Lord rather than for men.

In all you do.
