Signs to be Observed You Will Not Have

Signs to be Observed You Will Not Have
by David Brenneman

"What Jesus accomplished on the cross was enough to save us. Nothing has to be added to it, nor are we required to accept Him as our Savior multiple times. Jesus has redeemed us "once for all." So stop worrying about losing your
salvation or having to earn it. As Jesus said, "It is finished!" (John 19:30). Notes on Hebrews 10:10 Dr. Charles Stanley Life Principles Bible.

"By this will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all." Hebrews 10:10.

"But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart”—that is, the word of faith which we are preaching, that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.  For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes in Him will not be disappointed.”  For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call on Him; for “Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Romans 10:8-13.

"Unless you people see signs and wonders, Jesus told him, "you will never believe." John 4:48

In our Lord’s day, a craving for miracles was a symptom of the sick state of people's minds. They refused solid nourishment and pined after mere wonders.  The Gospel that they needed so greatly they would not accept; miracles, which Jesus did not always choose to give, they eagerly demanded.

Many people today want today want signs and wonders or they refuse to believe. Some have said in their hearts. "I must feel a deep
horror of soul Or I never will believe in Jesus."  But what if you never feel that, as you probably never will?  Will you go to hell to spite God because He didn't treat you like some other person?  Some people say to themselves, "If I had dream, or if I could feel a sudden shock of I don't know what, then I would believe." So undeserving mortals imagine that they will dictate to my Lord!  You are beggars at His gate, asking for mercy, and you want to draw up rules and regulations as to how He will give you that mercy? Do you really think He will submit to this?  My Master has generous spirit, but He also has a kingly heart-He rejects all dictation and maintains His sovereignty of action.

If this is your case, dear reader, why do you crave "signs and wonders"? Isn't the good news of the gospel its own wonder? Isn't this a miracle of miracles, that "God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life" (John Son, 3:16)?  Surely the precious invitation, "Let anyone who desires drink freely from the water of life" (Revelation 22:17 NLT), and that solemn promise, "Those the Father has given me will come to me, and will never reject them" John 6:37 NIT), are better than signs and wonders!

A truthful Savior ought to be believed. He is truth itself.  Why will you ask for proof of the veracity of One who cannot lie? The demons themselves declared Him to  be the Son of God; will you mistrust Him?
- C.H. Spurgeon "Morning and Evening" September 2nd.

"For just like the lightning, when it flashes out of one part of the sky, shines to the other part of the sky, so will the Son of Man be in His day.  But first He must suffer many things and be rejected by this generation.  And just as it happened in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man:  they were eating, they were drinking, they were marrying, they were being given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all.  It was the same as happened in the days of Lot: they were eating, they were drinking, they were buying, they were selling, they were planting, they were building; but on the day that Lot went out from Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all.  It will be just the same on the day that the Son of Man is revealed.  On that day, the one who is on the housetop and whose goods are in the house must not go down to take them out; and likewise the one who is in the field must not turn back.  Remember Lot’s wife.  Whoever seeks to keep his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life will preserve it.  I tell you, on that night there will be two in one bed; one will be taken and the other will be left.  There will be two women grinding at the same place; one will be taken and the other will be left. Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other will be left.” Luke 17:24-36.

My Dear Reader, wherever you are...Jesus is there.  Oh how this world is so very much like the Pharisees and Sadducees of Jesus's day.  Seeking proof beyond a shadow of a doubt in the eyes of those who question such matters.

Yes there's much to read before you got to this portion.  My heart is telling me, my mind agrees, time is very short before Jesus Christ returns.

Nobody knows the day nor the hour of His promised return.  In no way am I determining a specific date or time.  His promised return has been expected by the saints since even as far back as when the rest of the New Testament was written.

In our day and hour the incredible amount of fulfilled Bible prophecy is staggering.  In just 70 years we have seen an unprecedented explosion in everything to do with the final days of the times of the Gentiles.

Are you saved?  Are you yet stubbornly awaiting something that would tip your mind toward believing in Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior?

Everyone has been given a measure of faith unto salvation but everyone must come to Christ on their own.

Nobody saves anyone else for them.  The Spirit of God speaks to the heart and if the hearts of men and women are receptive then salvation is granted.  Jesus isn't wanting any to perish but for all to come to Christ for salvation.

In a split second your decision may be made for you.  In a split second Jesus will call out to those who have died in the Lord and then to the rest who are alive and remain.  Nobody will hear this but them.  It's not a sign anyone who isn't saved will hear.  A trumpet will sound heralding the moment.  This too isn't a sign to be observed.  Mass chaos will engulf the world in ways nobody has seen since Noah's flood.  Billions will only then understand maybe something of what just happened.  That they missed the only pre-Tribulation choice they should have made to escape the wrath that is coming.

Jesus Christ paid the price you and I could never pay for our sins.

Jesus Christ so loved you that He stood in your place, acceptable your death penalty that you deserved in order to bring peace to your relationship with God.  But...you have to ask Him to save you.  You must believe that He shed His blood to be the forgiver of your sins and to be the leader of your life.

Nobody gets into Heaven by anything they have done on their own.  If that were possible then as the Scriptures say Christ died needlessly.  Your personal goodness is as filthy rags as the Scriptures teach us.  Means nothing.  When someone chooses life in Christ, asks Him to save them and to be the forgiver of their sins and the leader of their lives their names are recorded in the book of Life.

Oh my Dear Reader my personal excitement level is so hard to contain sometimes when I consider the truth that Jesus is coming soon. I have believed for my entire lifetime that Jesus was going to return in my lifetime.  That day is quickly approaching.  That's all I know and am sure of.  The mental attacks by Satan's minions have been royally intense.  Trying to get me derailed and to stop putting out these kinds of posts.  To get me to stop my evening studies.

Your doubts about coming to Christ for salvation are exactly what the schemes of Satan and his minions are about.  He absolutely does not want to lose another man or woman to God in Christ Jesus.  He would rather people pour into Hell than a single person step through Heaven's gates.

Your doubts are all part of everything he's worked towards to keep you from realizing and knowing the truth about life in Christ.

You might be buried in grief, unable to cope with life.  This too is to keep you from the real truth that would save you.  When people come to Christ...we're supposed to lay such things at the feet of Jesus to deal with.  We can't and He absolutely can deal with everything.  We read that He was a man of sorrows, well acquainted with grief.  He was betrayed. Mocked. Beaten. Ridiculed. Nailed to a cross and put on display as a transgressor of God although everything He endured was in obedience to God.

There's no sign coming to be seen by anyone.  A day will start like all the rest.  Just like in the days of Noah.  People going to work, to school.  Getting something at a Starbucks.  Catching up on the news.  Playing a game on a tablet.  Talking about legislation to be worked on. People living and dying like all the days before.  And one of these days countless millions of people will vanish with no warning.

That's what the Bible teaches.

In the beginning of this post you will find a passage from Romans 10.

"It is a terrifying thing to fall into the hands of the living God." Hebrews 10:31.

That's what's in store for all who refused salvation in Christ Jesus.

Their next phase of existence will be standing before Jesus in judgment.

That's the truth of God’s Word.

Are you saved?  Please Dear Reader be sure.  If not, let today be that day for you.
