My Dear Reader...oh we know the passage well whereby Jesus said that no man knows the day or the hour of His promised return. And as He IS Truth...truth is...He at that time was absolutly correct. The day would be revealed to Him after His obedience to the point of death, death on tha
t cross, was complete. After His resurrection, and He sat down at the right hand of the Father, He too knew what the Father knew of that day. Even in the days of the Apostles...they lived daily as if THAT were the day Jesus was returning because they didn't want to take such a wondrous thing for granted. To be ready for the moment the trumpet sounds and the Angels rejoice with a joy inexpressable and full of glory. To be ready for that moment when those who have already passed on cry out with joy at the coming together of the Church of God from all the ages that built into it. Are we living in those final days? Yes, absolutely. Of course. Without a doubt. Because EVERY day since the resurrection of Jesus has been THAT possible day.
Would you be ready for Him to return right now? Tomorrow? A week from now? The end of the month?
My Dear Reader...ANY of those are a possibility. Would you be caught with your hand in the cookie jar or would you have your room kept, things put away, ready for that call to leave and to go with Jesus forever?
No we cannot know exactly for sure but we DO know, if we are students of the Scriptures, that events are only NOW unfolding that are REQUIRED to have happen before Jesus DOES return. This world certainly is hallmarked by those people that Paul told Timothy would NOT inherit the Kingdom of God.
I was lead to write about much of that earlier today. Oh how events are moving in the Middle East! Not just there but other countries that are day by day moving towards being taken over by other nationalities. England is practically a Muslim country and has all but announced it. Oh how quickly the landscape of this world is changing in many places in just a 24 hour period!
The good....Jesus DOES come before the events of the Great Tribulation.
The bad...what comes next for the ensuing 7 year period is the worst that the world has ever seen or heard of even remotely being possible. Every horror movie combined won't come close to what this world will see happening in real time.
The good...right now there's still time to come to Christ to be saved. There's still room at the cross for you.
The bad...after Jesus comes...that door will close until the 7 years is over. Anyone identifying as a Christian will be eventually be hunted and killed during those 7 years.
It's interesting to note that nobody knows exactly how fast the twinkling of an eye is.
But it's safe to say you blink slower. In the midst of you blinking the Return of Jesus Christ is going to happen. He promised, and He always keeps His promises. He promised to come back and take us to forever be with Him whom have placed their faith and trust in what Jesus did on the cross to save them.
There's going to be people going to sleep one night and will wake up in Heaven or wake up in Hell.
The collateral damage will cause a huge influx of people into Hell from the Rapture of the Church happening. The next nearest global event to that kind of world-wide disaster was the Genesis Flood.
Jesus isn't willing that any should perish but that ALL might be saved.
He's not wanting anyone to miss out on eternity with Him.
But the choice is not His to make.
Human beings make that choice and once they die there are no second chances.
The cry of my heart is: JESUS IS COMING! MY JESUS IS COMING!!
I cannot convey it any greater than that. I fail Him daily yet He still says that I am His. I've sunk down to the lowest a human being can be and He STILL pulled me out. Reminded me that I am His.
It doesn't matter what your past is about. YOU choose whether you want to be saved or not.
The choice is easy...it's not complicated. Jesus said that even a child can get it.
"But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart”—that is, the word of faith which we are preaching, that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes in Him will not be disappointed.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call on Him; for “Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Romans 10:8-13.
O soul, are you weary and troubled?
No light in the darkness you see?
There’s light for a look at the Savior,
And life more abundant and free!
Refrain:
Turn your eyes upon Jesus,
Look full in His wonderful face,
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim,
In the light of His glory and grace.
2. Thro' death into life everlasting,
He passed, and we follow Him there;
O’er us sin no more hath dominion--
For more than conqu’rors we are!
Refrain:
Turn your eyes upon Jesus,
Look full in His wonderful face,
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim,
In the light of His glory and grace.
3. His Word shall not fail you--He promised;
Believe Him, and all will be well:
Then go to a world that is dying,
His perfect salvation to tell!
Refrain:
Turn your eyes upon Jesus,
Look full in His wonderful face,
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim,
In the light of His glory and grace.
