"Man’s steps are ordained by the Lord, How then can man understand his way?" Proverbs 20:24.
"The spirit of man is the lamp of the Lord, Searching all the innermost parts of his being." Proverbs 20:27.
Did you ever stop to realize the truths found here? You were born in this point in human history, where you were, by the parents whom bore you, for the express plan and purpose of God?
We came to Christ, heard His call, and were saved by Him. We then became His workmanship created in Christ Jesus for good works that we might walk in them. We, on our part, are to set our minds on the things that are above and not on the things that are of this world. Living as lights in the present darkness we were born into.
We have a calling in Christ that's to supercede all other thoughts and desires.
"Everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God." This is really at the heart of our lives in Christ.
We are to do our best, as unto the Lord, with whatever He brings to your heart and mind for God.
"Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance. It is the Lord Christ whom you serve." Colossians 3:23-24.
We were set among the members of the body of Christ just as the Spirit saw fit. You, my Dear Reader, if indeed you are saved in Christ Jesus, are uniquely placed in the body of Christ for His purpose and glory.
Today's questions are this: are you seeking first His Kingdom and His righteousness that all these things may be added unto you?
Are you putting others above yourself? Are you daily communicating with your Father in Heaven?
Are you spiritually stronger today than yesterday? Are you intentional about removing that which the Spirit shows you needs to go from your life or are you trying to ignore or argue for these things to remain?
What we do, say, think, has eternal repercussions. Jesus said clearly, "be careful how you listen". We read 4 Gospel accounts on what Jesus said it means to be a Disciple. Are we pursuing these things that make for true discipleship in Christ or are we still trying to go our own way?
We will either be shown as Christ being our first love or we won't. Read the letters to the Churches in the book of Revelation.
Will the account of your life show your love and devotion to your Lord and Savior Jesus Christ or will it show you pursuing what you wanted out of your life instead?
Take stock of your life...you still have this here this now to get it back together.
