In All Things

In All Things
by David Brenneman

"To God be the glory, great things he has done! So loved he the world that he gave us his Son, who yielded his life an atonement for sin, and opened the life-gate that we may go in.

Praise the Lord, praise the Lord,
let the earth hear his voice!
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord,
let the people rejoice!
O come to the Father thro' Jesus the Son, and give him the glory, great things he has done!

O perfect redemption, the purchase of blood! To ev'ry believer the promise of God; the vilest offender who truly believes, that moment from Jesus forgiveness receives.

Praise the Lord, praise the Lord,
let the earth hear his voice!
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord,
let the people rejoice!
O come to the Father thro' Jesus the Son, and give him the glory, great things he has done!

Great things he has taught us, great things he has done, and great our rejoicing through Jesus the Son;
but purer and higher and greater will be our wonder, our transport, when Jesus we see.

Praise the Lord, praise the Lord,
let the earth hear his voice!
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord,
let the people rejoice!
O come to the Father thro' Jesus the Son, and give him the glory, great things he has done!"  - To God Be The Glory - Fanny Crosby 1875

"in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus." 1 Thessalonians 5:18 NASB

"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things." Philippians 4:6-8 NASB

This morning, a morning after learning of some more things that could weigh on our hearts, this hymn "To God Be The Glory" came to mind.  So much so that I found a website that had a piano accompaniment to the words and I sang along.

I know not what's going to be the solution or the resolution to what we're facing, but, we have 22 plus years of faith history to look back on.  We have faced things like this before and God's always been faithful.

People can and will let you down.
God cannot and will not. It's not in His nature nor is it ever connected with His Name.

Jesus said that we are much more valued than even the birds that He takes care of as well.  Worry cannot add a single moment to our lives.

We keep seeking what it is we are to do and as long as we're moving, He promises to direct our steps.  He's done it before and He will do it again.  Our lives are not our own after coming to Christ for salvation. We were bought with a price, the precious blood of Jesus Christ.  We have promises found only in that right relationship with Him.

I smile because I know in whom I believe and know that He is able.  It matters not what the world sees or refuses to see in a relationship with Jesus, I have one and that's enough for me.

We are asking, seeking, knocking as Jesus said to do.
We are praying to our Father in Heaven, as Jesus said to do.
We are willing to step out in faith, as Jesus said to do.

Jesus loves me this I know
For the Bible tells me so
Little ones to Him belong
They are weak but He is strong
Yes Jesus loves me!
Yes Jesus LOVES me!

Get the picture yet?  Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and in all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight.  To God Be The Glory great things He has done.

We leave no stone unturned.  Even including job searching.  God will provide what we need when we need it.

We pray, we patiently wait, we pray, we do what we are able. God won't do what we are able. The before and after of Lazarus being raised from the dead lesson.

God promises to cause all things, including this, to work together for good to those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.

To God Be The Glory
