It's always an amazing time when I am about to read and the verse of the day grabs my thoughts before I have even finished my coffee.
In the evenings I am reading Dr. David Jeremiah's "Overcomer". That title has in its opening chapter a tie-in with one of my favorite movies, "Hacksaw Ridge". Standing firm in what you have in Christ Jesus is very very important.
Was reading in Mark last night and it's the same section as I was reading a day ago on my morning Bible reading. Jesus talked about the Temple that the Disciples so marveled at. He told them a mini-preview of things to come.
Here's another for all of you, my Dear Reader's. Jesus IS returning. If you don't know Him as your personal Lord and Savior, you WILL be left behind. It won't just be chaotic after it happens, the world will begin to go after the new world leader who will eventually call himself God. Those here will have little choice but to accept everything he says to say and do. Those here will be pushed to worship him.
There's still hope in this here, this now.
Jesus's offer of salvation only through Him is still freely available.
You can still do something by coming to Him to be saved.
You can't do anything in and of yourself to be saved. You cannot be good enough. You need the shed blood of Jesus Christ to wash away your sins and to grant you eternal life. By no other name under heaven that has been given among mankind by which we must be saved. None. Truth be known, all cards on the table, all others claiming to save people from this world, promising things in the afterlife...are in painful anguish and torment in Hell. All who lay claims to being God are there in Hell. Only Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, who sits at the right hand of God the Father, is God the Savior.
Our lives are a mess and will be a mess unless and until we have an obedient right relationship with Jesus Christ.
I am not strong in this life in and of myself. As Paul wrote so do I, I will not boast in myself, in my abilities, my knowledge, my intellect, I will only boast in Christ Jesus my Lord and Savior. My achievements are nothing compared to the riches found in my relationship with Jesus Christ. My education, my anything of this life is nothing compared to those true riches in Christ Jesus.
I needed a Savior and He was there to save me. You may be reading this and aren't saved. Read the Scriptures in the included photo. Salvation is but a breath away for you as well.
This world will be crying out to Jesus to return and take them with Him after He does come again. They will realize He wasn't kidding, His life and times wasn't a fairy tale. They will be grieving the loss of millions and millions of people whom did have a right relationship with Jesus. Of whom were sealed in the Spirit of God through salvation in Christ Jesus alone.
Oh the shock and horror that is unimaginable that is coming!
Oh the shrieking that will go on and on!
People in disbelief, people knowing what just happened!
The next 7 years will be the worst mankind has ever seen. Horrific times for those who join in with what that world leader will demand of them. Billions will die in a single moment, more than once in those 7 years. It doesn't have to be you my Dear Reader!
Jesus came to seek and save the lost in this world. I was once lost but now am found. The same opportunity is before you as well.
The next time He comes is to take those who have placed their faith and trust in Him for salvation, first those who did and had died, then those who are alive and remain.
Satan couldn't stop Jesus from coming the first time. Couldn't kill Him as an infant. Couldn't kill Him as He grew up to be a man. Couldn't kill Him during His ministry here on Earth. THOUGHT he had killed Him on the cross. But then 3 days later He did what He said and arose from the dead. He did and brought the promise of Eternal life through faith in Him with Him. He said that all who do will not be disappointed! He promised a helper. The Holy Spirit. Who lives in each person who has been saved. That's how all who have been and are saved in Christ Jesus will be recognized when He returns to take them with Him. Without the Spirit of God in you, you will still be here. Please make sure that your relationship with Jesus is genuine and real!
The world is full of liars that will tell you that trusting in Jesus is wasting your time. Wasting your life. I don't have enough faith to believe that Jesus isn't who He said He was. I've seen my Savior at work in my life.
I know that my Savior loves me and wants what's best for me.
Jesus loves you too and really wants a vibrant relationship with you.
On a day several thousand years ago people were going about their business. Thinking they had a full day ahead of them. Thinking about work. Thinking about getting married for some. Thinking about the very same things as you and I are looking forward to this morning.
In an instant the floodgates of Heaven opened to begin pouring rain upon the Earth. The seas and lakes gushing with more water than they could contain. People experiencing rain for the first time. But it wasn't stopping. It kept coming. There was nowhere to go. People by the billions were drowning. All who had spent a hundred years mocking Noah now understood that he wasn't insane, wasn't crazy, was telling the truth. The wrath of God was there for all the world to see. Within hours all humanity was dead. Hell was getting gorged. Only Noah, his wife, his 3 sons and their wives were alive.
The same impact will hit this world when Jesus returns. People will not understand until it happens and then it will be for them the same as it was for those alive in Noah's day. Shock and horror but no salvation to be had. Oh people will be saved during the ensuing 7 years to follow Jesus returning, but they will be marked for death, declared enemies of the state. Hunted down. Martyrs for the cause of Christ. It is those who are under the Throne in the book of Revelation who are given white robes to wear and are told to rest until these 7 years are over.
My Friend...please come to Jesus now.
Please don't put it off out of stubbornness or your own pride. Hollywood has yet to describe the horrors that will be after Jesus returns.
"But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart”—that is, the word of faith which we are preaching, that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes in Him will not be put to shame.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call on Him; for “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Romans 10:8-13 NASB
