He, Not You Will Separate

He, not You Will Separate
by David Brenneman

“But when the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, then He will sit on His glorious throne.  All the nations will be gathered before Him; and He will separate them from one another, as the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats;  and He will put the sheep on His right, and the goats on the left. “Then the King will say to those on His right, ‘Come, you who are blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.  For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger, and you invited Me in;  naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you visited Me; I was in prison, and you came to Me.’  Then the righteous will answer Him, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry, and feed You, or thirsty, and give You something to drink?  And when did we see You a stranger, and invite You in, or naked, and clothe You?  When did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’  The King will answer and say to them, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me.’  “Then He will also say to those on His left, ‘Depart from Me, accursed ones, into the eternal fire which has been prepared for the devil and his angels;  for I was hungry, and you gave Me nothing to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me nothing to drink; I was a stranger, and you did not invite Me in; naked, and you did not clothe Me; sick, and in prison, and you did not visit Me.’  Then they themselves also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not take care of You?’  Then He will answer them, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.’  These will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.” Matthew 25:31-46.

There will be a great many people weeping profusely at the Great White Throne Judgment of Jesus Christ.  We read plainly that He will separate the Believer from those who never came to Christ for salvation, those who'd rejected Him.

Up to this point it's all people gathered together.  All people of all human history in one place.  All awaiting what was coming next.

The weeping will be from both sides of the isle.  Those who now know for sure whether or not loved ones were saved or not.  Those who knew they weren't from those whom they never knew were.

Jesus will, exactly as a Shepherd, separate one from the other.  There will be no discussion over His final decision in this.  He will easily know for the seal of the Spirit of God will be on all His sheep.  There will be no mistakes made in separating trillions of people.  This will be yet another case of people absolutely looking upon the One whom they had pierced.

Have you come to Christ for salvation?  Is He the forgiver of your sins and the leader of your life?

Now is your only opportunity to come to Christ and it not be too late.  Once the scene mentioned above is upon all mankind there's no second chances.

But I can't just yet...
But I don't know...
But what about...
But...
But...
But...

For everyone this truth applies:
"The God who made the world and all things in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands;  nor is He served by human hands, as though He needed anything, since He Himself gives to all people life and breath and all things; and He made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined their appointed times and the boundaries of their habitation, that they would seek God, if perhaps they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us;  for in Him we live and move and exist, as even some of your own poets have said, ‘For we also are His children.’" Acts 17:24-28.

The decision is not fraught with danger.  The decision to come to Christ is what makes us right with God in Christ Jesus.  The decision cannot be made for us.

My Dear Reader you are the most important creation of God.  He died a death unlike any other in human history to give you life if you accept it.

The choice to come to Christ has to be made by you and you alone.  There is no baptism that means anything without first coming to Christ for salvation.  No sprinkling of so-called holy water that does anything.  It's your personal choice that you personally make to choose Jesus to be your personal Lord and Savior.

Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God as the Scriptures teach us.

"But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart”—that is, the word of faith which we are preaching, that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;  for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.  For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes in Him will not be disappointed.”  For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call on Him;  for “Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.”" Romans 10:8-13.

The disappointed will be all who aren't saved.  The disappointed have but one destination...the wrath of God will rest on them for eternity.  Eternal punishment in the lake of fire.  Eternal separation from God.  Eternal separation from everything. No peace no rest. Only anguish that never ends.  Only a perfect memory of their last moments before Jesus as He tells them to: "depart from Me for I never knew you".

The judgment to come for those who do not come to Christ for salvation is worse than the torment of Hell.  Hell will be cast into this lake of fire to be consumed by it.

Those in Hell in this very moment already don't think it's can possibly be any worse than this.  Yet it will be.

Jesus said: "Do I have any pleasure in the death of the wicked,” declares the Lord God, “rather than that he should turn from his ways and live?" Ezekiel 18:23.

While all mankind, save 8 people, all did what was right in their own eyes and perished during that Great Flood in the book of Genesis trillions will be forever separated from the love of God in Christ because they did the same.

Doing what was right in their own eyes rather than choosing what is right in the sight of God.

My Dear Reader you, while you sit or stand there breathing, are being granted a second by second pardon by the Savior of the world.  Every breath is a gift from God to give you the opportunity to turn and come to Jesus and be saved.

"Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.  For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death." Romans 8:1-2.

Once you come to Christ for salvation the guilty charge against you is wiped away.

Unless you come to Christ for salvation, it remains on you.

Every second of every single day you have before you life and death.

All across this world there's millions of people who's lives ended between one breath and the next they thought was coming for them.

They stepped into eternity and there's no going back.  Some to eternal life in Christ, joining Jesus in Heaven.  The rest joining those already in Hell.

Nobody chooses their time and place of their death.  It's the choice of Jesus Christ as to when a person's life is over.  That moment will only be when either He knows that nothing will persuade them to receive the free gift of salvation for the unbelieving or their mission and ministry on Earth is complete for those who have believed.

Every single heart of every single person is laid bare before Jesus in every single second of every single day.  He is Truth and He knows your heart.  He knows the truths you tell yourself as well as the lies people have told themselves.

There's a day coming that finalizes everything the cross of Christ finished.

Will you be among those whom stay with Jesus or among those who will be eternally separated from Him?
