“Therefore be on the alert, for you do not know which day your Lord is coming. But be sure of this, that if the head of the house had known at what time of the night the thief was coming, he would have been on the alert and would not have allowed his house to be broken into. For this reason you also must be ready; for the Son of Man is coming at an hour when you do not think He will. “Who then is the faithful and sensible slave whom his master put in charge of his household to give them their food at the proper time? Blessed is that slave whom his master finds so doing when he comes. Truly I say to you that he will put him in charge of all his possessions. But if that evil slave says in his heart, ‘My master is not coming for a long time,’ and begins to beat his fellow slaves and eat and drink with drunkards; the master of that slave will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour which he does not know, and will cut him in pieces and assign him a place with the hypocrites; in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth." Matthew 24:42-51.
“Take heed, keep on the alert; for you do not know when the appointed time will come. It is like a man away on a journey, who upon leaving his house and putting his slaves in charge, assigning to each one his task, also commanded the doorkeeper to stay on the alert. Therefore, be on the alert—for you do not know when the master of the house is coming, whether in the evening, at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or in the morning— in case he should come suddenly and find you asleep. What I say to you I say to all, ‘Be on the alert!’ ” Mark 13:33-37.
One of the lines in the song "Come Jesus Come" by Cece Winans says "come Jesus come...we've been waiting so long...". Oh the groaning in my heart at hearing those words let alone while I yet sing them!
The news of yet even more things happening in Israel that do indeed point towards a step or two closer to the return of Jesus Christ for His Bride the Church.
For those who do groan within, awaiting eagerly for their adoption to be complete in Christ, each day is one day closer to that blessed reunion.
"And not only this, but also we ourselves, having the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our body." Romans 8:23.
Are you cognizant of your true future in Christ? That indeed Jesus whom saved you, who promised to come back again is very likely going to do so in YOUR lifetime?
As I get older, my body, if not my mind and my heart as well, long indeed for the redemption of my body in Christ.
I do indeed watch the headlines of what transpires over in Israel. The Bible says nothing of the nations outside of Israel save but a few. The 7 Year Great Tribulation is the completion of the prophet Daniel's 70th week.
Has it escaped your notice that as each day passes more and more attention of the world is only on Israel?
God's Word will come to fruition in your world and mine. Both personally and globally.
Are you on the alert as Jesus commanded us to be? Or have you slidden back to a view of life that Paul said some had in his day of "where is the promise of His coming?"?
Until His Bride is complete, Jesus isn't going to return. As written in a prior post, Jesus isn't returning to collect a denomination. He isn't returning to receive a specific denomination to Himself. He's coming to receive His Bride the Church. Christians. Those who have placed their faith and trust in Jesus Christ alone for salvation. Denominations mean something only in this world, they have no place in Heaven. There is but one body of Christ.
Are you on the alert? Are you going to be among those not prepared for Jesus returning? Are you going to be caught in the middle of something you certainly shouldn't have been when that trumpet sounds and the dead in Christ will rise first then the rest of us following after?
Are you really believing the Scriptures about the words of Jesus to be on the alert?
I long for the day when this takes place. I have never seen this world with two good eyes. My first view of eternity will be to see my Savior and Lord Jesus Christ.
I do the work He gives me to be doing today, as unto the Lord, and keep an ear out for that trumpet to sound.
Do you, my Dear Reader, do the same?
In all respects the pieces of the puzzle that remain in Biblical prophecy are minor. They wouldn't restrain Jesus from returning. They easily could be completed within days if not hours of the Rapture of the Church. That's the reality we find ourselves in.
What restrains Him? The work of the followers of Jesus Christ in going forth to make disciples of all nations, teaching them to follow all that Jesus commanded them.
God is not willing that any should perish but that all might be saved.
Until His Bride is complete He awaits. My personal belief is the last person will be like the first person. The thief on the cross was with Jesus that day in paradise. The last will receive Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior and that will be it. No warning to anyone in the world. In the blink of an eye Jesus will return and receive His Bride to Himself.
Are you now just a little bit more anxious for His return? Are you now maybe considering taking your life in Christ a bit more seriously? Are you now rethinking your priorities? Are you now examining yourself to be sure that you are saved? Are you considering making changes to eliminate things from your life that He wouldn't approve of?
