“Therefore be on the alert, for you do not know which day your Lord is coming." Matthew 24:42.
"For just as the lightning comes from the east and flashes even to the west, so will the coming of the Son of Man be." Matthew 24:27.
"You will be hearing of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not frightened, for those things must take place, but that is not yet the end. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and in various places there will be famines and earthquakes. But all these things are merely the beginning of birth pangs." Matthew 24:6-8.
I don't direct what is written in these posts. Where I am lead, what passages are used, these aren't of me. Yes this is another reminder of Jesus returning. The importance must be that great to repeat again in some ways. There's been significant birth pangs as Jesus called them in recent months.
Strong ones concerning the Gaza strip, concerning Iran. There's been a fundamental shift in the Islamic world towards deciding on peace to give the Middle East a chance at healing.
"Now as to the times and the epochs, brethren, you have no need of anything to be written to you. For you yourselves know full well that the day of the Lord will come just like a thief in the night. While they are saying, “Peace and safety!” then destruction will come upon them suddenly like labor pains upon a woman with child, and they will not escape. But you, brethren, are not in darkness, that the day would overtake you like a thief; for you are all sons of light and sons of day. We are not of night nor of darkness; so then let us not sleep as others do, but let us be alert and sober. For those who sleep do their sleeping at night, and those who get drunk get drunk at night. But since we are of the day, let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet, the hope of salvation. For God has not destined us for wrath, but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us, so that whether we are awake or asleep, we will live together with Him. Therefore encourage one another and build up one another, just as you also are doing." 1 Thessalonians 5:1-11.
We certainly can read between the lines in the headlines of our world today concerning the Middle East.
Israel is practicing certifying a new Temple. They have people trained in Temple worship. They're ready to construct the next Temple as soon as it's safe to do so. It's the most significant bargaining chip towards peace in the Middle East that hasn't yet been played. It's coming. Regardless of the improbability of it...it's on the horizon.
I have had many significant things come up in this last week alone about Israel and the new Temple. Today's reading in my morning reading time was all about King David going over the plans he drew up for King Solomon to use to build the Temple in his day.
A very significant passage that you read earlier was about the swiftness of His return for His Bride the Church. As lightening. People jump at a lightening strike. The world will be in total chaos when millions, possibly upwards of a billion, people vanish at the same time. Some government agencies might blame it on after effects of vaccines or chemicals or some combination of that and solar flares. There will indeed be some colossal excuse given to explain away the Rapture of the Church.
What do you think of when you consider that in your lifetime Jesus is coming back and that the end of the age is starting in your lifetime?
What should be changed in your life that you've always blown off thinking you had time to fix this or that?
What testimony will you leave behind for those who are left behind?
Let me be emphatic: I am not setting a date.
I am repeating the words of Jesus...when you see these things happening look up!
When Jesus returns...will you be engaged in something that you'll be embarrassed to be caught up in?
For those who do believe in Christ we should be excited.
The adoption papers are signed, sealed, and are about to be enforced. We should be stepping up getting the Word out of the Gospel message. We have been fortunate to live in that age where we have had free access to God's Word. In the 7 year Great Tribulation, most likely Bibles will be considered contraband. Illegal. Those possessing them will be marked for death. The vast majority of those getting saved during the Great Tribulation will be martyrs. I have kept many Bibles here for whomever needs them after Christ comes.
I am excited at the things happening with Israel. Praying for the peace of Israel will lead to them being allowed to build that 3rd Temple.
Two thousand years seems like a long time but it really hasn't been in God's eyes.
We still have people to interact with that still need Jesus. We still have relationships to build. We are that generation who will help complete the building of Christ’s Church. The Apostles began it...ours will help finish it.
What say you? Are you really ready to meet Jesus, maybe even today?
We read in Corinthians of our hearts needing to be prepared to remember Jesus with the bread and the cup. Do you make every effort to prepare your hearts because today might be the day?
Oh Come Jesus Come...we've been waiting so long...
