As my Spiritual Dad has said in his recent newsletter "It is Happening!" so it is indeed!
Jesus Christ is indeed returning soon. No that isn't a typo. No it isn't date setting in that a particular day is being marked on a calendar.
Major pieces of the puzzle of when are falling into place. Those who indeed read the Scriptures can see and understand what the Spirit reveals. At the end of every newsletter that he writes my Spiritual Dad always says "Be ready for the shout that calls us out!".
What does that mean? Scriptures teach us that there is going to be a day when there indeed will be a shout that transcends the Spiritual to the physical from Jesus to His Church.
A great danger that has crept into many denominations of churches is the prevailing thought that their denomination is the right way to follow Jesus.
The Church of Jesus Christ is just that. One Church. There is one body that is Jesus Christ.
There is only one way to salvation and that is through faith in Christ Jesus alone. Nobody who is saved is saved in the name of Baptists, Grace Brethren, Catholics, Lutherans, Non-denominational, or any other group of people. Those who are saved are saved in Christ Jesus. The Apostles were the foundation of the Church of God in Christ Jesus.
A devotion towards a denomination rather than devotion to Jesus Christ is paramount to being either a Pharisee or a Sadducee.
Being sure of your salvation at this hour is what's oh so very important my Dear Reader!
Knowing for sure that Jesus Christ is your personal Lord and Savior is what will mean the difference between going to Heaven when that shout happens and spending all or part of the ensuing 7 years going through Hell on Earth in the Biblically confirmed Great Tribulation of the book of Revelation.
"But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart”—that is, the word of faith which we are preaching, that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes in Him will not be disappointed.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call on Him; for “Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Romans 10:8-13.
We must be ready! We must be sure that our faith and trust is in Jesus Christ alone for salvation.
We must choose to ask Jesus to save us. There's no assuming that we're good enough. There's no merit afforded to us just because we filled a pew on Sundays. Going to a church doesn't save anyone. Because some relatives came to Christ for salvation doesn't save you either. Having good thoughts saves nobody. Without what we just read in Romans there's nothing to save you. All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
Without Jesus as my personal Lord and Savior I wouldn't be going to Heaven to forever be with Him.
My life in Christ has a great many ups and downs. There been a great many times when I was in very vast dark places when the enemy of God had me by the throat. Jesus never left me. Once saved always saved. He never left me in those places. I am sealed in the Spirit of God for the day of Christ Jesus. Satan's schemes love to point to things we said, things we did, to discredit our relationship with Jesus. The gospel says our salvation is in what Jesus did on the cross to save us. Salvation in Christ is entirely on what Jesus did. Once a person comes to Christ for salvation they are marked by God through the Spirit of God as His. The adoption papers are signed in the blood of Jesus Christ. Never to be revoked.
Greater details of today's world in light of Biblical prophecy can be read at www.ptnews.org. Events are happening so rapidly that they now are set up for notifications to be sent to those who sign up for them.
You, my Dear Reader, you are among those whom Jesus died for.
You are one of the reasons He left Heaven, lived a sinless life, died upon a cruel cross and arose 3 days later. Completely paying the price for your sins and mine. Faith and trust in Jesus is what saves. Not what a church denomination believes.
"Opening his mouth, Peter said: “I most certainly understand now that God is not one to show partiality, but in every nation the man who fears Him and does what is right is welcome to Him. The word which He sent to the sons of Israel, preaching peace through Jesus Christ (He is Lord of all)— you yourselves know the thing which took place throughout all Judea, starting from Galilee, after the baptism which John proclaimed. You know of Jesus of Nazareth, how God anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and with power, and how He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him. We are witnesses of all the things He did both in the land of the Jews and in Jerusalem. They also put Him to death by hanging Him on a cross. God raised Him up on the third day and granted that He become visible, not to all the people, but to witnesses who were chosen beforehand by God, that is, to us who ate and drank with Him after He arose from the dead. And He ordered us to preach to the people, and solemnly to testify that this is the One who has been appointed by God as Judge of the living and the dead. Of Him all the prophets bear witness that through His name everyone who believes in Him receives forgiveness of sins.” Acts 10:34-43.
You must confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. That's it.
Believing as a child would believe.
I am affiliated with a denomination yes but my identity is in Christ Jesus. My denomination means nothing with respect to my salvation in Christ.
Are you really saved? Are you really ready? You can call (330) 264-9459 and ask for help in knowing for sure that Jesus is your personal Lord and Savior. You can text "Jesus" that number as well.
The days have been numbered until Jesus returns. Those days are oh so much shorter than they once were.
My hope for this blog from the very beginning of writing it was that either it would help people to find salvation in Christ Jesus or that it would help people to return to Him and grow in Christ.
Many people decry the same mantra as those who said it 2,000 years ago.
"Know this first of all, that in the last days mockers will come with their mocking, following after their own lusts, and saying, “Where is the promise of His coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all continues just as it was from the beginning of creation.” For when they maintain this, it escapes their notice that by the word of God the heavens existed long ago and the earth was formed out of water and by water, through which the world at that time was destroyed, being flooded with water. But by His word the present heavens and earth are being reserved for fire, kept for the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men. But do not let this one fact escape your notice, beloved, that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years like one day. The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a roar and the elements will be destroyed with intense heat, and the earth and its works will be burned up. Since all these things are to be destroyed in this way, what sort of people ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be destroyed by burning, and the elements will melt with intense heat! But according to His promise we are looking for new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness dwells. Therefore, beloved, since you look for these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, spotless and blameless, and regard the patience of our Lord as salvation; just as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given him, wrote to you, as also in all his letters, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which the untaught and unstable distort, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures, to their own destruction. You therefore, beloved, knowing this beforehand, be on your guard so that you are not carried away by the error of unprincipled men and fall from your own steadfastness, but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory, both now and to the day of eternity. Amen." 2 Peter 3:3-18.
There will be no grand announcement. No sign in the Heavens to be observed. The Bible says that in the twinkling of an eye...that's all anyone will know.
Be sure of your salvation in Christ Jesus...being sure of your membership in a church denomination means nothing.
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. This is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil." John 3:16-19.
