Reality Check that Doesn't Bounce

"Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might.Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil." Ephesians 6:10-11

Another huge chunk of why the Church today has problems is the ignorance of the enemy of God.  Health, wealth and prosperity aren't going to necessarily be the norm for a Christian. Trials, tribulations, suffering through things because of to whom we now belong are what's to be expected.  God CAN bless in health, and other aspects of life, but only so far as the growth of the believer in Christ needs to become Christ-like.  Remember the Great Commission.  Go, make, teach, meaning there's a purpose to what we experience in Christ.

If God simply always gave us what we wanted we would never grow in Christ.  If a tree only was given light rains, and sunshine,  it would never withstand a storm.  It wouldn't have deep roots. It wouldn't grow up straight and strong.

Being prepared for the day means being with God in the morning. Means calling on Jesus throughout the day.  Means relying on our Shepherd to lead us as it says in Psalms 23.

So get ready for the day, get with Jesus.
