Never Give Up

Never Give Up
by David Brenneman

Yesterday I was brought to tears of joy! Had I read a post on Facebook a day earlier it would have happened then.

A former co-worker and friend received the free gift of salvation through Jesus Christ before she passed on to her now home in Heaven!

I pray practically every day for all my current and former co-worker's who may not have come to Christ for salvation yet.

Right now my friend is in Heaven with Jesus! She's meeting so many people who have likewise decided to accept the free gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. Did you catch that it's free?

She's probably meeting so many people whom she probably didn't realize had come to Christ for salvation that she used to know in this life. She might even be meeting my family who are there as well.

Oh the joy of running into Heaven right into the waiting arms of Jesus!

In the post that I had read through my tears she had mentioned to her friend who was there that she'd wanted to come back to God for so long.

My Dear Reader, this too bears out the truth that you might have read in my writings before...you too are a single step away from coming back to Jesus.

It doesn't matter how many years or what you believe are your dirty secrets that nobody knows but you and God. It doesn't matter...He’s ready and eager to receive you to Himself. He's ready to forgive and heal your mind, heart and soul.

"Oh how deep the Father's love for us. How vast beyond all measure That He should give His only Son And make a wretch His treasure!"

That song means so much to me.

Read the whole song:

"How deep the Father’s love for us,
How vast beyond all measure,
That He should give His only Son
To make a wretch His treasure.
How great the pain of searing loss –
The Father turns His face away,
As wounds which mar the Chosen One
Bring many sons to glory.

Behold the man upon a cross,
My sin upon His shoulders;
Ashamed, I hear my mocking voice
Call out among the scoffers.
It was my sin that held Him there
Until it was accomplished;
His dying breath has brought me life –
I know that it is finished.

I will not boast in anything,
No gifts, no power, no wisdom;
But I will boast in Jesus Christ,
His death and resurrection.
Why should I gain from His reward?
I cannot give an answer;
But this I know with all my heart –
His wounds have paid my ransom."

Jesus loves me this I know, for the Bible tells me so. Little ones to Him belong. They are weak but He is strong. Yes, Jesus loves me! Yes, Jesus loves me. Yes, Jesus loves me! The Bible tells me so.

My Dear Reader...you do not have to keep on wandering or wondering any longer. Jesus said that by no means would He cast out any who come to Him!

The forgiveness of our sins is but a breath away. Our death can be a breath away as well. We know not when our time on this Earth is done.

We know not when so it's the day to be sure. It's here and now to be sure. Jesus isn't going to knock down the door to your heart. He's going to wait for you to open it up and invite Him in. Just as my friend did.

This is a limited time offer...because even He knows who will still reject Him as their Lord and Savior as well. Please don't be so stubborn as to be one of those!

My Dear Reader, that very instant my friend said yes to Jesus, all of Heaven was told and celebrations began again because another said yes!

Do you realize that it's announced in Heaven every single time someone says yes to salvation in Christ?

You don't need to carry that burden of your sins any longer. Jesus is ready to wash them away.

"What a friend we have in Jesus, all our sins and griefs to bear! What a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer!"

My hope and prayer for this post and all the thousands of other posts is that someone might find their way to the arms of Jesus. Whether in just coming back to Him or to find their way to salvation in Christ.

"For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God." 1 Corinthians 1:18.

Jesus is patiently waiting for someone to open the door to their heart today...might it be you?

I'm never giving up on praying for those whom God's caused to cross paths with me. The Bible says that the grace of God covers a multitude of sins. It blots them out. It's called the justification of Jesus Christ. Some say it as "just-as-if-I-had-never-sinned". It's found in the free gift of salvation only found in Jesus Christ.

Jesus is waiting...will you bid Him to enter?
