You! Yes, you! "Jesus is fine if you need a crutch to make it through life." "I ain't bowing down to anyone or anything!" People throughout all of history have raged against the idea and truth about Jesus Christ. All people who have ever lived and died throughout the centuries are not much different. You may already been thinking your own thoughts about Jesus. Was He real? Did He really ever exist? Is there something about all that the Bible stuff? Are you like the Pharisees and Sadducees, the Priests and Levites, whom saw all the evidence, were given plenty to go on to connect the dots, yet still don't take it seriously? They KNEW the Scriptures that John was referring to yet refused the evidence.
This is the testimony of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites to him from Jerusalem to ask him, “Who are you?” And he confessed and did not deny; and this is what he confessed: “I am not the Christ.” And so they asked him, “What then? Are you Elijah?” And he *said, “I am not.” “Are you the Prophet?” And he answered, “No.” Then they said to him, “Who are you? Tell us, so that we may give an answer to those who sent us. What do you say about yourself?” He said, “I am the voice of one calling out in the wilderness, ‘Make the way of the Lord straight,’ as Isaiah the prophet said.” John 1:19-23 NASB
Look WHO wanted to know. Look who SHOULD have understood what John the Baptist was saying. He connected the dots for them. They who KNEW the Old Testament should have been able to understand his every reference. Unlike you and I, however, as the New Testament says, we have something greater than they. We have the testimony of many, passed down through the ages.
Are you still of two opinions? Are you 'ok' with people who believe the Bible, but inwardly you think they are crazy? That they are fools for believing in all that Jesus stuff? That YOU can't see any evidence to support what little you have read about the Bible?
The truths of the Bible are provable. Archeologists have, for centuries, found varying things that prove specific dates, and locations, written of only in the Bible.
As one has said, I don't have enough faith to be an atheist. The proofs are overwhelming if you are not going to be in denial about honesty considering them.
Everyone is on this Earth for a limited amount of time.
Was having a discussion the other day about what the Bible means hastening the day of the Lord. Of no man knowing the day nor the hour of His return. Yet there is something known about how we prolong His not coming.
People in all ages will bow before Christ. All those who found themselves in Hell, all those who are with Christ now in Heaven.
All Angels and fallen Angels, called Demons.
Are you among those, living wholly for yourself, trying hard to ignore the evidence in front of you?
Are you so caught up in what you want in life that thinking about anything to do with God isn't important?
You will indeed have to give an account of your life. Standing before Jesus an answer WILL come from your lips.
If you don't have Him as your Savior, you WILL have Him as your Judge.
Hope is only applied to your condition while you still breathe air. Once you die, and in which healthy living means nothing, your hope in avoiding Hell and Judgment is gone. You do not choose when your time on Earth is over. Satan isn't the ruler of death. The Giver of all life is the one who determines when you leave this world. If God sees that no hope exists in you turning from your sins to receive everlasting life in Christ Jesus then your time of departure could be any day. Rich, healthy, famous, poor, weak, well-educated, well-known or well-off. Your status in this time in which you live means nothing.
The day of the Lord can be at any time.
Those who are obedient to the truths of the Bible are the very ones who hasten that day coming.
Whether or not you believe will not prevent it coming.
It will indeed still come. You, me, everyone, will both stand before Him and will bow to Him.
What you decide in your short life is whether it will be willingly or unwillingly.
You see you aren't alone in needing to decide on whether Jesus, God, the Bible are real or not. But you do have to do as all who lived and died before you. You must choose and what you choose determines Heaven or Hell as where you go next. Sadly, many Pharisees, Sadducees, Priests and Levites likely have found themselves in Hell. If those who knew the Scriptures still denied God's Word have found themselves there, those who live in greater denial are more certain to find themselves there.
You decide you. Your choices will influence family and friends but in that day you stand before Christ it's all on you.
You must decide if all this is true, but, in the end, what God says is true, is truth.
Read it well that there is no interview process at the Final Judgment Seat. You will not have your life evaluated to determine whether or not your good deeds outweighed your bad to gain entry into Heaven. The final decision is whether or not your name is in the Book of Life. That book with the names of every single person who received Jesus Christ as their Savior.
Today is your day to get real with yourself.
