Quit Playing Chicken with Sin

Quit Playing Chicken with Sin
by David Brenneman

In our world of ChatGPT, we need to take several steps backwards. We aren't getting ready to enjoy something grand and enjoyable. We've come to another version of the Tower of Babel. People so full of self that they believed anything was now possible and saw nothing wrong with it.

We live in the very same world as those who have come before us.  We live in the same mentality of control that Satan's been striving for since Adam and Eve.  People were described by Jesus as being blind, being in darkness.  That same thing is in our world today.

It was horrifying to read of a mother, yesterday, in the news because some unscrupulous people used an AI to create a 100% believable impression of her daughter crying out over the phone saying she was kidnapped.  Was also horrifying to read of a "digital church" where an AI writes AND delivers sermons.

Artificial intelligence is probably, as said earlier, just as dangerous as the Tower of Babel was.  It's beyond more addicting than drugs because your brain provides the chemical stimulus.  People willingly turn over aspects if their lives to it.  We all have been for decades on small levels without knowing that's what it was.

Don't think so? To borrow from the movie "Mission Impossible", follow me around the room.

Since the inception of the computer, have you used a word processor that has auto correct?

Have you ever used a computer login that required you to prove you are a human being?

Have you ever logged into a bank app or in a web browser?

Have you ever "photoshopped" a picture?

Ever go to the movies?  Most of what goes into movie making is the use of AI.

It's in your cars and trucks these days.  It's on your wrist as a watch.  It's always listening to everything you say.

A very popular technology is Alexis.  A very popular question to ask it is whether or not what it listens to is being sent to the NSA....it won't answer, it shuts off.

Your Windows 10, Windows 11 and it will be in Windows 12...it watches and knows what you are doing on the computer and it DOES have the ability to tell on you.  It also has the built-in ability to hold "your" files against your will if unscrupulous people manipulate it just right. I know of all this with Windows because I was a "Windows Insider"...one helping to develop Windows 10.

We do all kinds of things, not just with computers and technology to get close to sin.  We push the speed limit intentionally.
We eat what we shouldn't, on purpose, because of this or that.  We tell ourselves and others "little white lies".  A lie is sin and the Bible describes it as scarlet in color...not white at all.

We decide who to "forgive" and who not to...when Jesus taught to forgive as we have been forgiven by God.  God does forgive by casting sins as far as the east is from the west, remembering them no more.  Do you forget to do that second part?  "But you don't understand what they said!  You don't understand what they did!" Really? You're going to go there?  What did people say and do to Jesus on His way to the cross? How did they treat Him in His life before that?  Look at Joseph. He was betrayed by family, sold into slavery. Falsely accused, sent to prison.  Had ever right by today's standards to hold a massive grudge against his family.  Yet he forgave as he was forgiven.  They meant it for evil, God meant it for good.

We neef to get away from these sins that so easily entangle.  We're instructed by the Spirit to FLEE.  Not to play around with.

I like technology but even I know what will happen to me if I delve into ChatGPT.

People do not realize to what levels they have been programmed to accept sin as not being that bad.  That "God will probably see their good outweighing their bad".  No, without Christ as your savior, there is no such thing as good outweighing bad.

Quit playing chicken with sin.  Quit seeing how much you can coexist with and not feel guilty about.  That, my Dear Reader, is the greatest danger.  You won't even feel remorse for doing it.

Satan's plan has you not believing it's that bad.

He wants you to believe you deserve to enjoy the fruits thereof.

The very same lie he told Adam and Eve.

"And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus."Philippians 4:7 NASB.

Satan's wanting you to accept his ideas of what constitutes peace of mind and heart.

Do you know all this is an immediate precursor to the state of the world after the Rapture of the Church?  Most of this world will be in a state of full control by a select few.  This world will obey or they won't eat or live life.  We are seeing the beginnings of this with the world looking to switch to an all digital currency.  A computer decides if you can or cannot purchase something with what you think is your money.  There's not enough people to monitor such things for nearly 8 billion people.  So enters in artificial intelligence.

We are to flee from temptation. Flee from sinful thoughts and actions.  Resist the devil and he will flee, not offer him a chair, coffee and dinner to hear his sales pitch.

How much do you allow into your life of this world?  You let commercials influence you.  You let radio, television and streaming to influence you.  You barely, maybe, set foot in a Church for a few hours.  Satan is after you 24/7.  The news sources we have, the governments over us, are ALL influenced by Satan to get people to willingly turn their lives over to their impulses and feelings. To willingly entertain sin by calling it something else that's desirable.

Paul admonishes all who read Ephesians 6 to put on the full armor of God for a reason.  The enemy of God is GOING to come after you. He isn't about to leave anyone alone.  For Believers he seeks permission to go after. For non-believers he needs no permission.  The whole armor of God is only possible after coming to Christ for salvation. Without salvation in Christ Jesus alone, you have no defense against the will of Satan.  The helmet of salvation protects your mind. The breastplate of righteousness protects your vital organs such as the lungs and heart. The Sword of the Spirit, the Word of God isn't a decoration. It's to be used OFFENSIVELY.  The shield of faith is to protect you from the attacks.

What are you doing to resist?
What are you doing to protect?
What parts of your life have you given into temptation and are denying that you're sinning in?

Jesus defeated sin and death at the cross.  We shouldn't run to sin to play with it.  Sin held Jesus on that cross. Jesus took the full wrath of God upon Himself to pay the price we could not...because of sin.

Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness and all these things will be added unto you.  Set your mind on things above and not on the things that are of this world.
