The events of recent months, at least for me, are more definitive proof that the birth pangs Jesus said would come are happening.
Wars and rumors of wars are one.
Earthquakes and famines in various places is another.
Seen any increasing in frequency in the last hundred years? Unless you have your head in the sand it is a simple Google search to see the truth.
Attacks on Christians? Another one.
Attacks on the people of Israel? Oh that's a huge one.
Attacks on the morals of people? Exponential there.
Jesus even gave specific things that we can look for as symptoms of these pangs.
2 Timothy 3
But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; Avoid such men as these. For among them are those who enter into households and captivate weak women weighed down with sins, led on by various impulses, always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so these men also oppose the truth, men of depraved mind, rejected in regard to the faith. But they will not make further progress; for their folly will be obvious to all, just as Jannes’s and Jambres’s folly was also. Now you followed my teaching, conduct, purpose, faith, patience, love, perseverance, persecutions, and sufferings, such as happened to me at Antioch, at Iconium and at Lystra; what persecutions I endured, and out of them all the Lord rescued me! Indeed, all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will be persecuted. But evil men and impostors will proceed from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. You, however, continue in the things you have learned and become convinced of, knowing from whom you have learned them, and that from childhood you have known the sacred writings which are able to give you the wisdom that leads to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work
My friends, look at our world today. Take off your blinders, get your head out of the sand. Quit going around un your life with ignorance as your guide!
That passage is TODAY.
Look at how people are reacting to this corona virus. Look at how it quickly becomes ever man or woman for themselves!
This world isn't going to be the same once this passes. Look back over the last hundred years. Ever single time something impactful happens change in how life is lived happens. Birth pangs.
This virus is a significant pang. It's really part of a larger plan of Satan on this planet. Look at the book of Revelation. When it begins, maybe just before or even just after the Rapture of the Church this planet will have a one world government.
It is coming. These birth pangs all are heading one way. To give birth to a one world government. It's written in Scripture. It's going to be the reality of this world at some point. International sovereignty is going to be cast aside at some point in favor of this One World Government. Think this is crazy? Look back only as far as the first President Bush. Many times he referred to a New World Order. Most people missed it. His son, the other President Bush mentioned it.
I am convinced that had Hillary Clinton been made President instead of President Trump, we would already be under a ine world government. But God said it wasn't time yet.
If you look at the book of John. Read it differently. Objectively. Look for all the attempts on the life if Jesus. How many times was His life in danger? How many times do you read it and find that it was not His hour?
Satan knows the Bible better than you.
He is trying to force the hand of God to find some way to disprove even a single thing written in it. God's plans will not be rushed nor will they be thwarted.
There are also seasons. Jesus spoke of seeing those and people being smart enough to see where the weather is going to change. He indeed said that no man knows the day or the hour. But He did say you will know when it is close at hand.
Friends it is close at hand.
More birth pangs are coming. The Government wants more control of your lives all in the name of peace and safety. They speak words to calm people down, to instill a sense of trust in their actions on your behalf. Sacrificing freedoms for the greater good. Some take this as an attack on freedom and patriotism. It can be seen as that. Me? I just see it for what the Bible says it is. Birth pangs leading up to the return of Christ. It's steps necessary to lead into the fulfillment of everything left written in the Bible that hasn't occurred yet.
So what are you doing to fulfill what God had in mind for you to be doing? We still have work to be done. As Scripture says also work while it is still daylight. For night is coming when there won't be any.
God has provided a way for you and I to spend more time with Jesus. Are you taking advantage of it or are you lamenting everything you can't do?
To live in fear as a Christian is saying volumes about your faith. To live as Christ intended for us also speaks volumes.
