Peace and Safety they say!
Birth pangs...a description of a surge in growth, behavior or activity. A sudden change that forces one past a point they were not willing to go past.
"Now as to the times and the epochs, brethren, you have no need of anything to be written to you. For you yourselves know full well that the day of the Lord will come just like a thief in the night. While they are saying, “Peace and safety!” then destruction will come upon them suddenly like labor pains upon a woman with child, and they will not escape. But you, brethren, are not in darkness, that the day would overtake you like a thief; for you are all sons of light and sons of day. We are not of night nor of darkness; so then let us not sleep as others do, but let us be alert and sober. For those who sleep do their sleeping at night, and those who get drunk get drunk at night. But since we are of the day, let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet, the hope of salvation. For God has not destined us for wrath, but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us, so that whether we are awake or asleep, we will live together with Him. Therefore encourage one another and build up one another, just as you also are doing." 1 Thessalonians 5:1-11 NASB
This world would have us believe a great many things. This world has people who still believe a great many wrong ideas. Such as the world not being round. That we were never on the moon.
God's said clearly of a great many things in the Bible that have all been proven true.
Long before evolution, the key textbooks of a public school were a Bible and a hymnal. Universities and Colleges were began as Christian facilities.
It was small at first but the lies influenced them. Soon if you attended them and were a Christian you were ostracized.
The lies prevailed.
In this world we live in today. There's a great many lied we are being told by what used to be trustworthy organizations. Now referred to as the fake news media.
Sensationalism has become the norm.
Insisting that you just cannot go through your day without hearing from them.
The truth is you don't need them. What everyone needs is a right relationship with Jesus Christ. Really look at the book of Deuteronomy. Full of reminders to the people of Israel. As long as they would live in obedience, God would take care of the rest of the world. All of it.
In our times in which we live, all you hear about now is in terms of peace. To remain calm. To not panic. Reassuring people of how to be safe. The result is a birth pang. The world is going sideways in panic. They turn up the volume of their talk. Peace and safety. Shhh it will be ok. We will get through this. It's going to be ok.
My friend read that opening passage again. Read into it with Spiritual eyes.
We know not when the Rapture will take place. But we do know what thd world picture will somewhat look like.
For over 2,000 years we have been waiting and watching. Events and reactions to them are now having far reaching and impacting results. Life isn't going to go back to what we knew of it a few months ago. It isn't.
There's been a great many people who have their own theories on the nation's that would be here at the beginning of the Rapture...and those who wouldn't be. I have come to understand a few things on that myself. By asking God.
What I have come to understand from Him I do not feel lead to reveal just yet.
What is important is that nobody delays in knowing for sure whether or not they are going to Heaven or not.
Scripture says it's not enough to just believe that God exists. Demons do.
Your life isn't your own when you come to Christ. It's safely hidden in Him. Trusting in Jesus as your personal Savior is much more than simply believing that He exists.
A Christian is born again. His or her life is new in Jesus. Repentance, the turning away from sin, towards a life in Christ has to happen. Asking Jesus to forgive you and cleanse you of all unrighteousness. To come into your life and save you.
Good deeds won't add up to that. Nor will living a good life.
Know tonight my friend whether or not you are saved. Read the Romans Road map for Salvation. Be sure because that opening passage is happening. It's one birth pang of many to come. Read of it in Matthew. The Great Tribulation is coming.
I won't be here for it. My Savior is coming to take me and all believers with Himself.
Please examine your life. Know.
Don't guess. Know.
