"Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me and know my anxious thoughts; And see if there be any hurtful way in me, And lead me in the everlasting way." Psalm 139:23-24
This was the verse of the day on Biblegateway today. Our world is being driven in one direction. Towards the day of the return of Christ. There will be no age of prosperity. Not until after the 7 years of judgements that are about to start. After Jesus returns again and begins to rule, personally, from Israel for a thousand years, then prosperity will come.
Until then, my friend, you need to settle a very important question. Is Jesus Christ your personal Lord and Savior?
You don't settle that now, when He returns to take away those who have placed their faith and trust alone in His finished work on the cross, you will indeed wish you had.
Read what it says in the book of 1 Thessalonians Chapter 5 verse 3 "While they are saying, “Peace and safety!” then destruction will come upon them suddenly like labor pains upon a woman with child, and they will not escape."
If you look deeper at other Scriptures on this, you will see that Jesus said that His return would be like a thief in the night. In the twinkling of an eye. That quick and without warning. There will be nobody who will be given a warning at all.
My friend, I don't want anyone to spend eternity in Hell. I don't care how bad a person is, if God is granted them the ability to breathe, there is hope for Salvation.
Let me say that again, if the breath of life is present in a human being, then hope still exists for them to have their lives changed and have their names written down in the Lamb's book of Life.
Genesis begins with Jesus explaining that the life is in the blood of humans. He doesn't say that hope for change is lost, not until that person dies. He breathed life into Adam and he became a living being. God imparts life. Which is why Satan has tried for centuries to murder unborn children. If it's important to Jesus then Satan wants to destroy it. If it's important to the Father then Satan wants to destroy it.
Satan was cast out of Heaven along with 1/3rd the host of Heaven. Because they tried staging a rebellion to take the Throne of God. The created tried to take his Creator's place. Jesus is not a created being. There is no equal to the Son of God or of God the Father or God the Holy Spirit. None. Satan refuses to believe that.
There's a war that's been going on since before time began. When Jesus cried out "IT IS FINISHED!". Then it truly was. We are in the last days of humanity. Unlike the science fiction utopias that writers dream up, we are not going to build ships to go out among the stars. We are not going to visit other planets or find aliens.
None of that fits in with the Word of God.
What does is the need to be prepared. The need to know today if you are indeed saved in Christ Jesus alone. He is the Way, the Truth and the Life. Nobody comes to the Father but through Him.
He alone grants permission for entry into Heaven.
Being a good person isn't enough.
Being someone helpful to others, minding your own business, not hurting anyone, isn't good enough.
Giving your time, energy and effort to saving the world isn't enough. Spending your time saving animals or people isn't enough.
Being there for others isn't enough.
There's absolutely nothing you could do or not do in this life that would be enough to get your name written down in the Lamb's book of Life. Nothing. Not even if you lived what possibly could be the most perfect life it wouldn't be enough.
Without admitting you are a sinner in need of Jesus Christ to save you. Without His coming into your life to change you. Without Christ you cannot be saved from the wrath to come. He is the only way to be saved.
While the whole world panics, I do not. I know in whom I have believed. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior and Lord. I know that He is with me. I have nothing to fear.
As another passage says, some trust in horses, some trust in chariots, I trust in the name of my God.
Only Jesus can breathe new life into such a sinner as me.
Only Jesus can breathe new life into such a sinner as you.
Don't look to the world for the answers to the fears that grip your heart and mind.
Look to Jesus for the answers you seek.
Possessions, money, things, are meaningless. You can't take any of it with you. In Hell it's not even crossing the mind of anyone there. They are in torment and pain. Begging that someone be sent back to here to tell those they cared about not to come there. Begging, pleading, that they would come to Christ and not be where they are. They KNOW there's no hope for themselves.
My friend I am not writing to scare you but to open your eyes to the truth of Scriptures. Jesus Christ came to seek and save you and I. His unconditional love held the God of all creation to a wooden cross. All it would have taken was a thought, and Jesus could have come down from it. All it would have taken is Him thinking of only Himself. But He didn't.
