Wheat and Tares...which are you?

What is wheat and tares?

Wikipedia says: Lolium temulentum, typically known as darnel, poison darnel, darnel ryegrass or cockle, is an annual plant of the genus Lolium within the family Poaceae. The plant stem can grow up to one meter tall, with inflorescence in the ears and purple grain. It has a global distribution.

Darnel usually grows in the same production zones as wheat and was a serious weed of cultivation until modern sorting machinery enabled darnel seeds to be separated efficiently from seed wheat. The similarity between these two plants is so great that in some regions, darnel is referred to as "false wheat". It bears a close resemblance to wheat until the ear appears.

Jesus says that within mankind you are one or the other. Those in Christ are known to be the wheat, those who both live their lives their way apart from Christ, or even try to mimic a life in Christ are called tares.

As Jesus has said you ARE either one or the other. You are either saved in Christ or you are not. There's no middle ground. Read in Revelation of Jesus knowing the difference when He looks upon mankind and HE separates the wheat from the tares. Those really in Christ and those really NOT in Christ. Note also that regardless of what is said, mankind cannot and will not fool Jesus in that day.

KNOWING belongs to Christ, the evidence of YOU knowing will be in your life that others see when they see Christ in you.
