His Will be Done

“Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” Matthew 6:10

"For I say to you, from now on you will not see Me until you say, 'BLESSED IS HE WHO COMES IN THE NAME OF THE LORD!'"

Think on those passages.  Look at them closely.  To pray the one, is to be asking for the other.

People rejoiced on that day when Jesus made His triumphant entry!

So what of you? What do you pray?  Are your prayer priorities about the things that Jesus wants?

Granted that 2 Peter 3:9 says "The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance."

Praying for His Kingdom to come is definitely a good thing.  If it weren't for His patience, nobody in the last 2,000 years would have been saved.

But it is still possible to have His Kingdom come.  To have the true Church stand up for what is true of God and His Word.

I have been shown and told of many a so-called Pastor who doesn't preach repentance. They don't have a heart for people.  They may give great speeches that they call sermons, and want you to buy their books, but they aren't men of God. At least not in the respect of the role of Pastor. The Bible has a name for those...it's called the hired hand.  Hired to do a job and a job is all it is to them.  When off the clock they don't have an interest in the church's mission.  Run, don't walk, from such as these!

God's Grace and Mercy are part of the heart of the believer.  It's what courses through their Spiritual veins.  It's what shines upon them anew every morning.

I know of many a so-called preacher who wants to ride the coattails of the success of the beginning of the Church.  Like it was in the book of Acts.  Not going to happen if you don't have actual men of God who preach and teach what it means to be a Christian. What it means to be a Disciple of Christ.  What repentance is. What Grace is. What it means and how to employ the full armor of God as it is shown in Ephesians 6.  The Church by and large is weakened because people are being left to figure out all that they should have been taught, all on their own.

Jesus wondered about finding the faith when He returns.  Look at the Berean church.  Look at the full beginning of the book of Acts and you will see the faith.  You will see trained people who were equipped to share with the world.  People with the full armor of God intact and in use.

So where is the faith with you?

Are you ready to say Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord?
