Evil is real

Test all things; hold fast what is good. Abstain from every form of evil. 1 Thessalonians 5:21–22

Hold fast to what is good, or the world will take it away. Satan is the relentless enemy of good. When he saw that what God gave Adam and Eve was good, he set about to take it away from them. When he saw that King David was pleasing to God, he attempted to destroy David's relationship with God. Never take the good in your life for granted. If you do not hold on to it firmly, it may be lost. People will challenge the good that you are practicing. They may criticize you for your moral stand, your child rearing, your use of money, or your involvement in church. Time pressures will attack the good in your life. Your time to pray, study Scripture, be with your family, and serve in your church will all be pressured by the many other time demands you face. You may give generously to your church and other Christian causes, but you will be tempted to spend your money selfishly and minimize the good you are doing with your finances. Scripture reveals the solution for holding on to what is good—abstain from every form of evil. Evil robs you of what God intends for you. - Blackaby Experiencing God Day by Day

I find it eminently interesting that the world will easily tell you of its belief in what it says is evil.  Yet, in their definition, they either totally refuse to acknowledge the God of Heaven or they blame Him for it existing.

There is much said in Paul's letters as well as what Peter wrote concerning being careful in this world.  We, as believers, really need to be careful because of the warnings of wolves in sheep's clothing that ARE in the church today.  They predicted it, God told them to write it, it's a fact of their existence. They are real.

They introduce heresy, doctrines of demons, as the Scriptures call it.  Twisting the Word of God, introducing people to forms of mental slavery that were to come upon mankind.

People brought up in a culture are very prone to accepting that culture based on trusting who told them what they are experiencing is right and normal.   If you are not given a reason to doubt what your parents or teachers tell you then you likely will believe and accept their words.

The problem, Biblically, is that Scripture tells us we should compare what we are told with the Word of God.  Not many do this these days and it's getting worse.

I am reading in Daniel this morning and the part where I am at is of King Nebuchadnezzar's dream of the statue.  I was considering the meaning of the feet of clay and iron.  Mixed in the seed of man.  Then my other reading is in 1 John 4.  Interestingly enough John speaks of spirits.  Of testing the spirits.  Long before Daniel or John there before the flood, there were those of the spirit world that possessed mankind and caused them to have children by the same.  Demon possession is very real in our world today.  It's rampant in our governments and even in our churches.  God's warning of it was for these end times.  There's no earthly explanation for a great deal of the atrocities we see in the world, therefore, look deeper.  It's demon possession.

Then you have also a weakened Church because a great many are not teaching the whole counsel of God.  They aren't making Disciples they are looking for members for a club called the church.  They aren't teaching about sin and its consequences. They don't teach about repentance.  Because people might be offended!
Hell had been so watered down its effectively air conditioned.  They don't preach the reality of Hell.  Doctrines of demons.

Sin has been labeled as a disease.  Not the eternal thing that can keep you separated from God in painful torment as described by Jesus.  Sin has been labeled as a psychological problem.  Demon possession is called a psychological problem it's not called for what it really is.

People by the thousands are going for drugs in this world to escape.  Yet they become the very prisoners to those drugs in a world they try to avoid.  Satan uses drugs to make people harder to reach for Christ.  Satan uses drugs to open doors of temptation for believers to trap them.

Not all drugs are essentially bad for you but the evil forces in this world are ever looking for more potent ways to control the world.

There is hope, it's only found in Christ Jesus.  In Him is there real freedom and real peace.  If you are constantly looking for something to bring you peace, don't look to a sin cursed world for it.  Jesus told a Church in Revelation that they forgot their first love.  Him.  Look only to Jesus for what you are lacking.  You are pouring your efforts, time and money into a bucket full of holes when you're looking for joy, peace and contentment anywhere else.  As believers we will give an account of our lives before God.  How I will explain why I wasted so much, I do not know.  I can only try harder from this day forward to live like Christ is returning today.

The struggles of believers is a very real thing.  We need to return to the well Jesus said was available in Him as often as we can in order to not just survive but to flourish in this world.  We live in that part of that statue in Daniel when it's right before Christ returns.  He is returning. Are you ready?  The Bible has always been proven true.  No other book or document of mankind has.  Bank on it.  Make sure you are living as you should for Christ while you can.  Make sure Jesus is your Savior.  Don't put it off. After Jesus returns this Hell on Earth you think you are experiencing is going to get a thousand times worse if you are left behind.
