The Soil of Your Heart

The seed which fell among the thorns, these are the ones who have heard, and as they go on their way they are choked with worries and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to maturity. But the seedin the good soil, these are the ones who have heard the word in an honest and good heart, and hold it fast, and bear fruit with perseverance. Luke 8:14-16

What is the condition of your heart?
To look at the world today, the lust of the flesh, the greed, the lies, the deception, the legalization of murdering of babies. Stripping the unborn of any rights at all, which is legalized genocide.  Looking at all the human trafficking, looking at how billions are spent on pleasure yet we have those who are homeless.  We have a large part of our own Government showing their hearts in that they would rather pursue a vendetta than do good for the country.

Evil is decidedly on the rise and it's accelerating.  It is infecting the Churches of today.  Worship has been replaced by entertainment.  Teaching as has been replaced with just making people feel good and accepted.

Sorry, World, sin is sin. There's only one cure for it.  Murdering their own children, essentially calling their own children a parasite, is one of the most horrifically evil things done in this generation.

To go to church to be fed a bowl of fluff, a bowl of sugary cereal and cake, made to feel good without conviction is oh so wrong.

Judgement is coming.  Scripture says this world will not repent of their sexual sins. They will not turn from the evil that they do and will do just as the Pharisees were accused by Jesus of...preventing people from getting to the truth.

The Church is so weakened that to speak the truth invites protesters who garner the attention of the media.  We were told to expect it!

So what is the condition of YOUR heart?
Does what breaks the heart of God break yours?  Does this evil showing its ugly head in our culture disgust you or do feel anything at all?

This used to be a Godly nation.  But no more.  Judgement is barely being withheld from it.  God has patience but there are limits to it.  When any nations sins hit a certain point, judgement came.
Celebrating murdering of babies, celebrating homosexuality, celebrating other forms of sin and evil are only bringing that judgment sooner.

Scripture says that God will not be mocked.

There is yet a remnant of the true Church left here in America.

So again, where are you?
Are you so consumed by the cares of this world, pleasures, etc that you have no time for Jesus?  Have you any room for Jesus in your life at all?  I ask this of people calling themselves Christians!

What good is it for you to know how to save someone who's sentenced to death yet you keep your mouth shut!?!?

What good is it for you to support people living in sin and say nothing?!?!  Nothing!!

They are heading for Hell and you're driving the bus to take them there! Someone who calls themselves a Christ follower!

I hope that hurt!  I hope that made you feel SOMETHING.  Because if you aren't praying for the lost around you, if the light within you isn't shining for the world to see, then you're helping to drive that bus to Hell.  Yes, you.

We are told to love on people yes, to love them enough to speak the truth to them. They may hate you for it but that's seed planting for you.  It's the Spirit's work to bring conviction.  We are to pray for those who persecute us. To pray for our leaders.  To be doing the will of our Father in Heaven.  That's what Jesus did!

Are you living for yourself? Are you spending your money on you and neglect helping? Are you self centered or God centered?

I look at the mirror when I write what I do. I imagine that the early Church writer's did the same.  Reflecting on the words that the Spirit directed them to write.

Franklin Graham isn't doing what he does to make his Dad proud.  He's doing what's right in his Heavenly Father's eyes.  I am sure his earthly Dad is proud of him though.  But what motivates him is obeying God the Father.

What motivates you?

Matthew 6:21 "for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."

Whatever you value is where your heart is.

Is can be anything.  Even putting your family before your relationship with God.

Read Psalms and you will read a very emotional life of King David.  You will see his struggles and strength in life.

He is but one example of what happens when you take your eyes off living for God and make selfish choices in defiance of God.

So my reader where are you?  If this stirred you up to take a good hard look at your life, then good.  If you sit there in denial, then I am praying for you.

Jesus is coming soon.  To render to each man according to what they have done.

Think about that

Romans 2:6-9 "who will render to each person according to his deeds: to those who by perseverance in doing good seek for glory and honor and immortality, eternal life; but to those who are selfishly ambitious and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, wrath and indignation. There will be tribulation and distress for every soul of man who does evil, of the Jew first and also of the Greek,"

Pray for your Government.
Pray for those around you.
Pray for you. That what breaks the heart of God breaks yours.
