Hope...

Hope.
Hope is something all too rare in the world in which we live.
Hope, real hope, is only found in Jesus.
You can't hope in people. Certainly not your government.  You can't hope in what you buy, it inveritably breaks down and you either replace or move on from it.
Hope that comes from a relationship with Jesus is altogether different. In it, it things don't matter. People do. In it we may lose everything here, but are promised we lose nothing in Heaven. What is the treasure stored up in Heaven?  People. Those who have placed their faith and trust in the finished work of Christ in the cross. Jesus said "It is FINISHED!"
Satan's big thing in this life is trying to squash hope. To find new ways to limit it, to remove it.
Those who have their hope in Jesus, he has to get permission to mess with. Jesus said we are safely in His hands. That's hope. If that wasn't enough, He said He was in the Father's hands.  Greater Hope. Worldly things will all fade away. Relationships in Christ go on for eternity. It's important to God the Father. All people are that important to Him. For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him, shall not perish but have everlasting life.  In the book of Acts, we see people who found hope in their world and the Church grew.  When someone comes to Christ, we see the hope in their lives.
It doesn't mean that Satan gives up. He will send wave after wave of attacks to try to discourage people.  The answer is to be in prayer. God hears and God will react to our prayers. Our hope is in the promises of God. Death holds no power over us. My next destination is to be in the presence of Jesus.
I love my friend, Jesus.  I know He loves me.
As the song The Solid Rock goes:  My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus blood and righteousness. I  dare not trust the sweetest frame but wholly lean on Jesus name.
