Too Many Voices

Too Many Voices

The ways of the Lord are right; the righteous walk in them, but transgressors stumble in them.

To those of us who believe in You, Jesus, You are precious; but to those who are disobedient, You are a stone of stumbling and a rock of offense. The way of the Lord is strength for the upright, but destruction will come to the workers of iniquity. He who has ears to hear, let him hear! Whoever is wise will observe these things, and they will understand the Lord’s lovingkindness. The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore my eye is good, my whole body will be full of light. If I want to do God’s will, I shall know concerning the doctrine, whether it is from Him. Whoever has, to him more will be given, and he will have abundance. I who am of God hear God’s words; others do not hear, because they are not of God. Some are not willing to come to You, Jesus, that they may have life. Your sheep hear Your voice, and You know them, and they follow You.

Jesus, help me hear Your voice so that I might follow You, honor You, and know You better.

HOSEA 14:9; 1 PETER 2:7–8; PROVERBS 10:29; MATTHEW 11:15; PSALM 107:43; MATTHEW 6:22; JOHN 7:17; MATTHEW 13:12; JOHN 8:47; JOHN 5:40; JOHN 10:27 - Dr. David Jeremiah Life-Changing Moments with God

We live in such a voice saturated world.

People in all kinds of multimedia platforms are tryto tell us what to think,  how to think and when to think about life.

The surge in applications in computer science and software to utilize Artificial Intelligence isn't helping mankind become better, rather its attempting to take over the conscious will of the world. Doing your thinking for you.

Mankind has been directed since Adam and Eve to look towards God for everything.
Satan's been trying to recreate God's creation into his own image to put himself on God's throne.

With all the plethora of voices, how would you know what's right or wrong by the Word of God if you weren't spending time in it to know what His voice sounds like?

That single one sentence prayer could, if it caught on, revolutionize the professing Church.

"Jesus, help me hear Your voice so that I might follow You, honor You and know You better."

Salvation and walking with Jesus was intended to not be complex or complicated.
Biblical descriptions show a Shepherd of Sheep.  Simple.  We are not given heavy burdens to bear other than those that bring honor and glory to God.

We need, in as much as Jesus made His Disciples, to get away from the noise and voices of this world to hear the voice of our Shepherd, Jesus Christ.

You hear enticing commercials on radio, Television, the Internet, in grocery stores, everywhere. Telling you to love this, to hate that. To put up with this, to not put up with that.  As ironic as it can be, a world without morality is trying to define morality for you.

Getting you to sway your opinion in order to manipulate you. It has honestly disgusted me for years to hear the subtle undertones in even news reporting this time of year.  They cannot even be neutral in something as stupid as sports reporting. Cannot even mention the name of a team from another state and by extension teach a low level hatred. I have even heard Pastors in several Churches speak as they do.

Programming of people.  The seductive work of Satan has been going on since Adam and Eve.  Satan had the ENTIRE world spewing hatred and evil in his idea of morality, of marriage and every day life, then God had enough and wiped out all mankind except for 8 people.

Satan's had to start over but he's just about back to where he was before the Flood.

In spite of defining proofs of failures in many countries the same insane politics and policies keep spreading to other countries to be tried again.  Satan's fighting against the Holy Spirit who is as the Bible says is the one restraining him.

You, my Dear Reader must choose in every single moment and thought of your day to obey God or not. It's your deeds done in the body that we will give an account for.  You must choose to walk in obedience, to listen for the voice of your Shepherd as to where to go, what to do, how to do it.

If the noise of the world is too much, then get away from it for a while.  Jesus taught His Disciples to do that.  He Himself did it. Spending time with His Father.

Ever notice something about Sheep?  No baggage. Nothing to hold themselves back but themselves.

You must choose to block out every subtle hint of hatred, of idolatry, of anger, of seeds of bitterness. You must choose to walk in such a way as to be worthy of your calling in Christ Jesus.  You.

We don't have much time left until Jesus returns.  Will you be found by Jesus doing what He has said in the Bible or be found in the middle of sinning?

To me it would be mortifying to be in the middle of sinning as the Rapture happens.

Your definitions of morality aren't going to be found in this world, will not even be found in the mouths of people. It's only found through the Spirit of God and the Word of God.

By living as the Word of God directed, Joshua the Son of Nun, Caleb, of all those who were in the wilderness, they were among those who lived the longest in this world.  Same for Job.

You must choose to strive to block out the world.  To listen for the voice of your Savior.
Either that will be Jesus or it will be Satan. You either are saved and are going to be with Jesus in Heaven or if you aren't you will die in your sins and spend it in Hell. After which the final judgment will cast you with Satan into the Lake of Fire for all eternity.

Life is a life or death experience. Decisions you make impact your present and your future.
Knowing who to listen to is critical.  Being absent-minded will get you in trouble. For those in Christ forgiveness in Christ Jesus wipes out the sins of the past, but not necessarily the consequences of that sin. For those without Christ your sins remain. You will be held accountable for every...single...one.  It only takes 1 to spend eternity separated from God. Everyone born has that 1 sin already. I won't get into things like the age of accountability. I do believe that the unborn and those before the age of knowing right and wrong will go to Heaven.

Your thoughts
Your actions

You must decide who you will listen to.  You will give an account.
