What SHOULD We see?

What SHOULD We See?

I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, Ephesians 1:18 NASB

For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all people, instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously, and in a godly manner in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus, who gave Himself for us to redeem us from every lawless deed, and to purify for Himself a people for His own possession, eager for good deeds. These things speak and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. No one is to disregard you. Titus 2:11-15 NASB

In this moment,  in this morning, I embark on another day. Have had my first cup of coffee, having gotten ready, I sit here to write.  It's more than a bit chilly outside. Winter is nipping at the heels of fall.

But what is to be seen in this day? Merely what you take in with your physical senses, or is there something more? Something else you ought to be looking for?

The cold of outside is only made worse when it's the cold of a man's or woman's heart.

When we only look at the day in regards to the fulfillment of life's desires and wants.

Read those passages again.  Then again.

When Jesus is the light, eyes can see. In the movie "The Matrix" the character Neo, upon being rescued and was truly, physically, awake, asked "Why do my eyes hurt?". The response was "Because you've never used them."

We aren't in some computer or ethereal created fantasy or nightmare, regardless of what thoughts that Satan plants in the minds of mankind.  But the nugget of truth is those who live continually in the darkness of sin don't know what using Spiritual eyes is all about.

Let's look at Isaiah Chapter 6 "In the year of King Uzziah’s death I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, lofty and exalted, with the train of His robe filling the temple. Seraphim were standing above Him, each having six wings: with two each covered his face, and with two each covered his feet, and with two each flew. And one called out to another and said,

“Holy, Holy, Holy, is the Lord of armies.
The whole earth is full of His glory.”

And the foundations of the thresholds trembled at the voice of him who called out, while the temple was filling with smoke. Then I said,

“Woe to me, for I am ruined!
Because I am a man of unclean lips,
And I live among a people of unclean lips;
For my eyes have seen the King, the Lord of armies.”

Then one of the seraphim flew to me with a burning coal in his hand, which he had taken from the altar with tongs. He touched my mouth with it and said, “Behold, this has touched your lips; and your guilt is taken away and atonement is made for your sin.”

For his entire life he thought he had been seeing life ok and had been obedient enough, that is until he was blessed with his Spiritual eyes being opened and when it happened he realized just how filthy his sin had made him.

So it is for all who come to Christ for salvation. Yet it's not a one time thing. Salvation is, being daily cleaned is a life-long process to a sinful body. Many in this country are on daily meditations due to daily problems with their bodies. Sin is a daily problem to our Spiritual well-being.

Satan isn't just a liar and the father of lies. He is the enticer. He works as a life-long professional at deceiving people. In this time of year when it's celebrated to dress up and make believe a deception in appearance, Satan is that way 24/7.

You were asked in a previous post if you would even recognize what idolatry is.

Would you? Would you even recognize something like what Isaiah experienced if it had happened to you?

I find myself within the pages of the Bible.  I see myself being Isaiah, Jeremiah, Joseph, Jacob, Paul, Peter, many others.  I sometimes am bold when writing but am not in person, such as Paul.  I am sometimes like Jeremiah, weeping because of burdens.  I can be malicious at times like Jacob had been.  Can find myself wondering at the Word of God much like Peter.

The only way that I could be any of those things is through use of Spiritual eyes by the light of Christ Jesus in the work of the Spirit of God.

We live in likely the most deception immersed society since the days of Noah.

We can put on Eyewear Equipment to enter into worlds created by mankind, consuming the mind and by extension the heart.

We have several generations of people passively accepting whatever is said by governments, media and each other without ever verifying anything. A world ripe for a global leader called the AntiChrist.  A man who works in the power of Satan and does his bidding gladly.

Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.  You ought to do as the Scriptures tell you, if you at all are in them daily, and that's to compare what you are told with them.  In the proper context. Satan masterfully misused Scriptures with Jesus in the days in which He was tempted.

Would you even notice your life's direction moving away from God?

Would you even know if you're making or have made wrong choices in respect to Salvation?

You do know that your sanctification is working out your Salvation?  Are you?

Are your desires and wants and ambitions on becoming more like Christ or are you more focused on enjoying life disregarding growing in Christ?  Have you compartmentalized your life so that these days and times belong to Christ and the other times you go after your own agenda?

When it says we who are in Christ must give an account of the deeds done in the body, that's what it's referring to.

You must choose to be Holy as He is Holy.

You must choose to live out your salvation in Christ Jesus.

You must use your Spiritual senses to deny yourself, take up your own cross and follow Jesus.
