A Memorial

Most think on a memorial from a distance.  The Lincoln Memorial. Mount Rushmore.  The Vietnam War Memorial. The Civil War Memorials.  Arlington National Cemetery.

They have been in our minds from time to time but for the Believer, our Memorial and Hope was 2000 years ago.  A cross we have never seen yet plays out upon our hearts.  We have read the story of what Jesus went through and how He went through so much to save us.

But other religions have memorials too.
To Buddhism to Islam etc.  The big difference is our Savior lives!  Those other religions may have had someone step up and attempt to be something but they are all dead. Never to return.  In fact the interesting part is they are all now acknowledging the truth.  That Jesus Christ IS King.  Unfortunately there's nothing they can do about it.  They are in Hell.

Whereas with Jesus and a life spent with Him, you get to experience how alive He really is.  Even today.  No man can take the life of a believer in Jesus without His permission.  The power of God is what protects each and every Believer in Jesus Christ.  Through the Holy Spirit.

So others may try to worship those who are dead and will remain so, we worship He that is alive forever more.  He arose from the dead, appearing before over 500 people.  His coming back from the grave proved that He indeed is the Son of God.

So our Memorial is unlike any other. It's as alive now as it was 2000 years ago. We wave not a flag of any country, but the banner of the Lord of Hosts.

The best part is He IS indeed coming back.  He IS returning.  Our living Memorial.  Our Living Lord is coming back to take home those who are His.  We have no land, no country, no nation that is of this world.  Ours is of the Kingdom of God in the Heavenly places.

Even so come quickly Lord Jesus. Amen.
