No Condemnation for those in Christ

Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death. Romans 8:1-2

Really consider that promise.  That particular Judicial ruling.  For that's what that is.

Many are putting out books stating that the Church will be here during the 7 year Tribulation.  Read Revelation.  It's 7 years of Judgements.  Condemnation upon those people who stand condemned.  The cup of their iniquity is to the full. The evil that is present is like it was in the days of Noah. The Church is not there as God's judgment comes down upon the earth.

It's so bad that had the Lord not shortened it nobody would survive.  He said so.  Look it up.  If He hadn't shortened it, no one would survive those judgements.  Judgements are for those who stand condemned.  There is a ruling against their deeds, their position.

God may cause the rain to fall on the just and the injust alike but He promised in Romans that we would not share in the judgments in Revelation.

Further, you can read: 2 Corinthians 5:6-8
"Therefore, being always of good courage, and knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord—for we walk by faith, not by sight— we are of good courage, I say, and prefer rather to be absent from the body and to be at home with the Lord."

We who are in Christ have passed over death into life. 1 John 3:14 "We know that we have passed out of death into life, because we love the brethren. He who does not love abides in death."

Or read also 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 "But we do not want you to be uninformed, brethren, about those who are asleep, so that you will not grieve as do the rest who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus. For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words."

There's much more that can be said on this.  Jesus took away the pain of sin and death.  His Father and ours, ruled that what Jesus did on the Cross was enough.
"It is Finished!" Covered it all as the gavel fell that day. Case Dismissed!  With Salvation secured for those who believe,  the verdict is "Case Dismissed for lack of evidence!"  For everyone who is in Christ Jesus. There's no condemnation.

We cannot be tried for crimes that Christ's forgiveness has erased.  Each man stands before God, but for those who are in Christ, all the Father sees is Jesus.
He took my Place.

I was lead into the courtroom.  I was seated at the Defense table.  The Prosecutor was an evil looking man. Sneering at me.  My Court appointed lawyer came in and sat down beside me.
The Judge came in and we all stood up.

The Bailiff read the charges.  The more he read the more I sank in my chair.  My lawyer didn't seem to be bothered.  Either by the charges or by the Prosecutor.

The Judge acknowledged the Prosecution. The evil looking man got up and presented his case.  Charge after charge.  He was bringing up things that I had totally forgotten.  I expected my lawyer to say something, do something, but he didn't.  Just sat there. I tried to say something to him but he just patted my hand and didn't reply.

By the time the Prosecutor was done, I knew that I was dead.  Then I heard "Your Honor, the Prosecution rests."

Finally my lawyer gets up. His suit falls off. His appearance changes.  He approaches the bench.  "Hi Dad. I acknowledge that all the charges are true. But I forgave them. He is one of mine. I take His place."

The Father, the righteous Judge, slams down the gavel.  "Case Dismissed."

The Prosecutor is furious. "Again!?!  I will get the next one!"

The Judge booms out "Order in the Court!  There will be no more outbursts!"

So remember, that passage.  Remember whose you are.  Remember the following:

Psalms 103:12 "As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us."

If indeed we hold to His promises, we are not among the condemned.

All it takes is a single sin to have a ruling against you.  A single sinful thought, word or action.  A single one.  But thanks be to God that Jesus made a way. The penalty of sin is death.  Eternal separation from God in Hell. A place of weeping and gnashing of teeth.  Weeping because people thought they were good people, undeserving of where they are.  Not wanting to believe that they were not good enough to be in Heaven on their own.   Gnashing of teeth are those embittered people who know their wrongs and refuse to believe the verdict against them.   They shake a fist at God in their torment.  Filled with all rage and hate for their Creator.

My Reader, know today where you stand.  That courtroom scene will be yours someday.  Either you are saved by the blood of Jesus or you are not.  There's no middle ground. There's no other acceptable way to Salvation. All the good you can do in your life cannot wipe away a single sin.

Freedom is at the door.  Salvation is there, waiting for you to open it up. There's no knob on the side where Jesus stands.  Only on our side.

Revelation 3:20 "Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me."
